Draft pour pint at the brewery, pulling this beer out of a 3 year RB hiatus. Muddy chocolate brown pour with an active fizz head. Simple nutty aroma. Flavor is a lighter than your usual brown malt, and a bit watery. Somewhat nutty, but more or less empty finish. Pretty refreshing I suppose, and nothing offensive to speak of. I imagine it’s difficult to make a brown ale stand out from the rest.

Dark brown color, translucent. Pleasant, sweet, bready aroma, a little bittering hops too, not much aromatic. Good non-malty brown ale, true to style, reminds me of something British/Irish. Very drinkable, I don’t know about sessionable tho. Nicely done.

Dark brown color with creamy head. It has the profile expected from a Brown Ale, not too burnt, with light yeasty and bready character, and above the average bitterness.

Thanks to Bob for sharing this one. Mildly sour brown ale. Light malt. Something must have gone wrong. Sometimes these unintentionally sour beers work out, but this is not drinkable. ,

Had off tap. Sips lively and semi sweet semi dry. Sweet in the middle but quickly shifts to a dry bitter finish. Flavors of slight root beer and brown sugar. Nice white lacing. Great brew from a great brewery.

Arrives from the tap with a amber / brown tinged, full tan colored head. The beer is a dark brown, stained amber color that is opaque when held up to the airport light. The aroma has a nice toasted / roasted nutty note to it up front, as well as a rich, whole grain toasted character; browned malt, touches of roasted grain, and a touch of balancing caramelized maltiness to round things out.
The flavor has a solid toasted nutty character to it as well, with a bit of a bitter bite in the finish. Soft caramelized malt notes up front take on a roasted edge towards the finish, and this definitely has a roasted bitterness to it towards the finish. There is a touch of sweetness to this beer, but it seems mostly dry overall, though I have a feeling much of the dryness is because I am drinking this after having a meal.
A solid brown, and I have always had a soft spot for these.

Can from Bob - thanks! Brownish amber pour with a small spotty head. Nutty and slightly spicy nose. Taste - starting to sour just a bit.

Can sheared by Skyview - thanks! This can looks exactly like the picture - imagine that! Slightly hazy light brown pour with a tan head. Malty nose - taste has something odd going on, slightly sour. Bleh.

Pours a nice brown with a finger of tan foam that falls to a solid sheet of the same with ropes of lace. Soft roasty nose with some wood and vanilla tones and a little herbal hop character. Nice nose. Roasty flavor is delicate and nearly sweet with some really fantastic coffee flavor longside some rye bread flavors. The carb is a little hi initially, but as it warms, this is alleviated and the body is medium and takes on a decent velvety tone. A nice brown ale and I look forward to drinking again. Well, well done. This brewery rarely disappoints me.

Can:   Dark caramel, a little burnt, thin frothy off-white head, spotty lacing.   Soft roasty nose, fairly
assertive actually.   Minor dark chocolate.   Softer on the tongue than the nose suggests.   Seems fairly smooth,
slight lactose like sweetness.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Soft hoppy exit.   Very simple, yet seems
very well built.   Solid brown, but its not terribly malty, my only complaint.
