Though Iím having this in the Summer, hey, cheers, Iíve had this fresh and hereís the rest of my take on this: This was poured into a pint glass (winter warmer, letís not overdo what is meant to be for this brew). The appearance was a fairly semi-dark to settling orange to brown color with a one finger white to off-white foamy head dissipating within a fair light lacing stringing itself all around the glass. The smell had a decent cinnamon to clove-like spiciness to allow a fairly decent sweet chocolate sweetness (Belgian-like to me, but thatís okay, I donít mind). The taste was sweet and spicy and winter-inviting: light orange/tangerine sort of flavoring here and there. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. Overall, hmmmm......good winter warmer, just hoping to see this coming winter. Iíd down it again to indulge my tastebuds.

22 oz. Bottle purchased @ Chuckís 85th Hop Shop, Ballard, Seattle, WA for $7.59 + Tax. Thin fizzy light tan head with minimal tan lace hints. Fizz hazed cloudy hint dull opaque black color. No ruby edges and sightly brown shade. Cool Label. Rich roasted cinnamon all spice mild hop not overpowering front. Richly spiced yet balanced cinnamon all spice clove, hint of oak and orange medium tight textured mildly sweet dry roasted crisp dark Winter Ale body. Smooth mild hop mellow spice somewhat cloying off end due to addition of part of loosened big sediment pellicle. Nice body like a richer Anchor Our Special Ale until sediment dulls the end. Good dark Winter Spice Ale, just be careful decanting the end. (3.75 / 5.0) 32 IBUís.

22 oz. bottle- Pours dark ruby red with a one finger light tan head that reduces in a minute or so. Aroma is cinnamon, clove is noticeable, oak, maybe some wine notes, very unique, and tart, this is odd, interesting actually, not your average winter warmer. The taste is cinnamon and tart again, weird, I like it, but weird. Body is medium, carbonation is medium high. Overall this is a hard one, I like that they changed it up, not sure if the tartness is supposed to be there or itís an off note. No masterpiece, but I did enjoy it.

Bomber. Pours a dark brownish burgundy color with a half-inch of tan foam and lacing around the glass. Aroma is a mix of holiday spices, orange peel and mulled wine. The taste is mostly cinnamon, clove and allspice upfront followed by notes of red wine, oak and ginger. The hops and malt flavors are barely detectable. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied and well-carbonated while the finish delivers more holiday spices along with some mild astringency. Much like their Pumpkin Spice beer, itís a little one-dimensional.

Bottle:   Murky brown, ruby hued, frothy beige head, nice lacing.   Soft spicy nose, seems like a gingersnap cookie.   Soft spices up front, cinnamon, nutmeg, with that gingersnap cookie.   Unfortunately it falls off quickly.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Tangy finish, soft woodiness (oak?), with muted spices.   This one would benefit by having a heaftier body and a bit stronger spicing.   As is, light and subtle.

On tap @ Uber. Pours thick reddish dark brown with thin head that laces well. Aroma is sweet and lightly spiced oaky malt. Taste is big smooth dark caramel malt, medium bitterness with no real hop flavor, and strong oaky finish. Clove and heavy allspice notes linger. I get what theyíre going for here, and itís close, but this would be much better if they eased up a bit on the spices and notched up the hops. Maybe a little more (or less?) time with the oak chips, as that flavor is kinda harsh too.
