On tap @ The Woods, listed at 6.9% abv. Pours murky brownish ruby red with thin off white head. Big fruity tart mulled spice aroma. Taste is spicy roasty brown malt, piney bitter hops, rich oaky flavor. Heavy plummy vinous red wine aftertaste. Like the non-wine barrel aged version, this is big on spice and light on hops. Wine barrel aging is unique for beer and definitely gives this a different taste. Not your average winter warmer.
