330ml bottle in Melbourne. Amber-brown with a moderate tan head. Malty caramel aromas dominate with light lemony citrus hops providing similar notes on the tongue before a soft bitter finish. Nice smooth malty sweet palate with medium body and carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice clear copper red colour with thin white head. Aroma is of tropical fruits such as pineapple, but is faint. Slightly raisiny caramel notes are also present. Thin body with lively carbonation. Taste is nice and refreshing, but lacks something special. Clean finish.

Pours translucent reddish brown, medium bodied head. Smells like caramel, tropical fruit with a hint of citrus. Suprisingly aromatic. Nutty biscuits and caramel malts comes through on the flavour; rounded off by some floral and citrusy hops. Medium in body and carbonation. There is a nice persistent bitterness, despite the malt tones being the key player here. Suprisingly good beer!

Pours dark brown color with a minimal head. Aroma is malt, caramel, a bit of coffee and floral hops and a tiny bit pine. Malty backbone with a caramel and dark malt tase, a bit of coffee too. Nice hoppy moderate finish. Good carbonation. Like it!

Alright, but the taste is not quite there, for mine, even considering the low ABV. On tap at the Wheaty.

The bigger sister of the original two Birds I believe, more rounded and mature in profile, and just damn tasty. It looks sultry in the glass. A fiery chestnut, radiant and translucent with a fine bead and wickedly rocky, inch of off-white foam atop. An unexpected hint of ginger tea precedes big, biscuity sweet malts, roasted nuts, toffee and oak on the nose. Inside it is quite rounded and boldly flavoured with a lot of roasted malt, roasted nuts, earth and dust, herbal, spicy hops and touches of grass and bitter grapefruit. Frothy, medium-light bodied but easily sessionable. Dry in the finish with plenty of nutty, husky malts to linger it is reasonably sweet upfront to balance very nicely. This is a charmer of an ale. Quite surprising. Good stuff!!! (33cL, BB 18/09/14, The Liquor Shed, Jandakot)
