Wasn't sure about this beer pre-drink. Didn't even know its variety. Reckon it more of a lager but it is still a great beer. Nice aroma before a taste of lime and corn chips. Very refreshing with great taste. 500ml bottle. 2.1std drinks. 5.2%

500ml bottle. Pours a hazy medium gold, with a large white head, which lasts well and leaves decent lacing. Tortilla crisps, lime, coriander and a touch of spice make up the aroma. Spicy hops and lime zest up front give way to a light white bread body. Coriander and lime give it a crisp finish. This is an odd beer, in some ways like Mexico’s answer to witbier. It would be great with a burrito though.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. This is a classy beer. The nose is vibrant passionfruit and it looks the part of a good lager. Quite tropical and juicy with that familiar lager yeast taking a back seat. Quality stuff

Very hoppy for a wit, almost to the extent of being unrecognisable for the style. Dry, spicy but a little lean. I like the take on the style but it doesn’t quite hang together for me.

Upon pouring, the off-white foam billowed and filled the 500ml glass to the rim and then diminished very slowly producing a cloudy amber coloured liquid. A three-finger head remained present for about half of the drink (not very appealing) and then subsided to a collar. Laced as blobs of foam. Carbonation low and coarse. Aroma is very hoppy with floral, citrus and spicy tones. Taste is quite sweet and has a moderately strong lime flavour coming through nicely. Light to medium body. Spices and lime linger on the finish. Quite nice.

Pores golden with a white head. I very zesty and herb driven beer, floral and citrus definitely coming through and lightly hopped. As many other people have said, there is something I cannot quite put my finger on. A decent beer, perhaps not as balanced for my liking.

From a bottle. Pours a cloudy amber, big grassy aroma, quite spicy with coriander and corn flavours at the back. It has a lot going on, an interesting beer, not bad but I doubt I’d buy another.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
From a 500ml bottle on 25/5/2014 (shared by Butz with thanks). Pours a murky dark golden with a huge, slightly out of control, head. The aroma is very yeasty and basementy, with some fruity notes. Flavour wise, it’s a bit of an odd one. There’s lots of tart citrus (lemon and lime), with some funky yeast, wheat and clove. Not overly sweet or bitter, and lacks any discernible character. Has a medium body and lively carbonation. A bit of a mess really.
