Went in on a bottle of this and split it with Lauren. Pours a hazed orange amber with a medium sized white head. Dry brett, sweet acid, a touch of acetone. Big improvement already over Moaten, the last sour I had from Two Brothers, which was just horrible. Nutty acetone over light sweetness and a bit of brett. A bit too nutty, but maybe this just needs to age a year or so, but there is some rather nice acid. Long lingering acid on the finish, very promising.

12.7 fl oz. Pours a golden amber color with a thin white head and some lacing. Aroma is funky, sour, cherry. Medium on the palate with fine carbonation. Flavor is sour, fruity, cherry, red wine, with a dry, tart finish. Not up there with the elite sour ales, but a decent attempt by Two Brothers. Worlds better than Moaten.

UPDATED: JUN 24, 2011 Bottle; Pour is slightly cloudy golden with a fine bubbled frothy head. This beer has a nice, funky feel to the nose; I have to admit - this brew really works (in it’s pure simplicity, mind you). It’s by far the best beer I’ve had from Two Brothers thus far. Funk, cheese, brett, and tart apple skins. I wish I would have bought more of this one!
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Dough77 (821) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - JUN 17, 2011
This beer far and away blew my expectations out of the water. My last 2 Bros. sour experiment, the name of which I currently forget, reminded me of day old throw up. This on the other hand was pretty close to terrific. Tart cherry, champagne yeast no?, lots of sour brett funk going on. Flavor was solid, would definitely buy another bottle if the opportunity arrived.

Bottle corked and caged poured into my Founders snifter glass. Not a lot going on with the aroma, slight sour funk with hints of cherries. Flavor was somewhat bland as well but with a little bit of funk tartness. I wanna like this one but it was just a little too bland.

Nice hazy golden color with a smallish layer of tiny white bubbly head.
Aroma has a strong funky vinegar element to it - not my favorite, but not bad either.
Flavor is great - there is the expected brett funk & sourness but as it warms up some nice tart fruity (apple?) notes come through with that vinegar form the nose lingering in the finish as well.
Mouthfeel is light and smooth but well carbonated.
Great beer and likely my favorite from Two Brother. Definitely worth checking out, particularly if you like sours.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 wnoble (931) - French Lick, Indiana, USA - JUN 11, 2011
Pours a medium orange and almost a light red with little head leaving a solid ring. Nose is quite sour up front with apple cider vinegar, lemons, strawberries, lactic sourness and not a lot of perceivable brett character. Taste is sour like lemons and just slight acetic sourness and some barrel character. Quite stinging like carbonation on the palate but I don’t think that’s what’s really causing it. I think it could stand some improvement such as more brett character which would double as adding complexity to a nearly one dimensional sour profile. but glad to try it.

Bottle. Cork and Cage. A little pricey at $11.99 but figured what the hell. Poured into a tulip glass a slightly hazed orange tan color with a 1/2 finger head that settles to collar around the glass. Swirling generates a light tan lively head. Sweet, acetone, vinegar, apple, lemon, and orange all in the nose. The aroma is fairly strong sour wise. Light mouthfeel. Starts with a sweet sour orange acetone type flavor that then goes a little down hill from there. The flavor falls off to a mild bitterness in the back of the throat and has a old woody/earthiness to it which may be from the barrel. Some lace. I’m not completely sold on this one. It’s great to see a new sour but to me this is only slightly better than average.

12.7oz bottle. Pours a hazed, orange-golden-amber tinted colored body with a finger-width, frothy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing throughout. Aroma is fruity and citrusy with a good amount of bretty funk, a medium sourness, and a light oak. Apples, lemons, grapefruits, and a light mix of grass and earth. Some lightly sweetened malts come in as this warms more giving the fruitiness a bit more of an emphasized sweetness. Flavor is tart up front with a moderate bretty funk before ceding to a sweeter citrus fruitiness. Tart apples, lemon, oranges, a touch of cherry, and some grapefruit. Oak comes in lightly towards the end along with a clean, pale maltiness with a hint of sweetness. Finishes with a light dryness, some tartness, funk, a moderate oak, and lots of juicy citrus fruits. Fairly lengthy, clean aftertaste following a medium-light, soft body and moderately lively carbonation. Overall, a really nice sour. Lots of citrus fruitiness with a nice mix of tart and sweet along with a solid amount of bretty funk. Very clean and easy drinking with enough depth to keep it interesting. Good beer.

Bottle shared with RB/BA folk... Poured golden with a thin head. Nose was decent with some brett and funk tones. Flavors were way off with overly acetone and paint thinner flavors. Dark sour candied tones that burnt the back of my through. I love sours, but this was way off.
