COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With a little tip of the hat to our scientific, pioneering neighbors we created the innovative atom smasher limited run artisan beer. A heft, full-bodied lager reminiscent of Marzen beers from days gone by. However, this beer is aged in our oak foudres to add a complexity unmatched by the imported version of Oktoberfest beers today. Just add Ledersosen!

355ml bottle. Darj amber pour, nice cramy off-white/cream colored head. Aroma is heavy noble hops, and a bit of oak, malt well covered by the two imo.The flavor is sharp and bitter, not much mid palate. Some creaminess, some caramel/soy. Maybe my palate is fucked up but not getting much complexity here. And interesting htat the oak aged oktos are among the hoppiest, perhaps they are thinking the hops will wear out during hte aging but they don’t.

Draft at the growler stone street NYC . Pours a bright bronze golden color with a malty interesting backbone. Not bad

Heavy wheat aroma. Lighter amber color, no head. No carbonation. A different take on an oktoberfest. Smooth flavor but would like some carbonation.

Bottle at home. Clear amber pour. Aroma of light oak, apples, malt. Full bodied with a sticky mouthfeel. Quite sweet, with yeasty and jammy cooked fruit flavors over a faint oakiness. Slight vanilla. Sweetish finish. Not bad.

Aroma is caramel, mild/medium nuttiness and slightly musty. The flavor is toffee, light caramel, mild/medium sweetness, light fruit and a slightly bitter/tart finish.

$3.50 cold bottle at Freikoten. Deep amber color with a bit of a hazy, thin head. Note of apple juice when placed within "nose shot." Closer in, I smell the Vienna malt, and an edge of yeast (this is, after all, from their oak foudre). Nice deep malts, tending more toward sweet than hoppy. A note of spice and yeast; likely a few bugs coming in from those wooden aging barrels. Some toasted biscuit and, yes, some roast squash. Yes, an all-around autumn beer!

Bottle. Medium amber body. Frothy off-white head. Aroma of toasted grain, wood, caramel malts. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes moderately sweet and lightly bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. The raw grain taste is magnified by the oak. Notes of caramel and nuts.
