Rusty orange semi clear pour. Nose is grainy and kinda flat. Taste is oaky, with a nice bite of alcohol, and bitter sweet with some spice. Carbonation is soft, with medium texture. Finish is sweet and dry. Quaff Score 6 / 10

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
22 ounce bottle. Served in a mug, the beer pours a hazy dark orange/amber with about a 1/4 inch off-white head that went away quickly. There’s pretty much no lacing at all left on the glass. Aroma is caramel and bready malt, nuts, oak and a bit of tart apples. Taste is pretty much the same as the aroma. It’s a mostly malty brew, with the caramel and bready malt flavors being the strongest, and with some oak, tart apple, nutty and earthy flavors noticable. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s a bit syrupy with moderate carbonation. Drinkability is good, it’s smooth and enjoyable. I think it’s a decent enough brew, but it’s not something I would buy very often.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a clear golden amber with a full white head that laces the glass. Aroma is caramel and spices. Taste is sweet caramel malt, butterscotch, biscuits and just the right amount of hop bitterness to balance. Top drawer Oktoberfest.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber. Pours deep golden with a creamy beige head. Aroma of honey, and caramel, sweet malts, toffee and candyish. Toasted bread and a bit cookie like. Flavor is very sweet, a bit of oak and a lot of honey, so sweet and candy like. Finishes a bit on the bland grainy side, and a creamy toffee richness. Medium to full body and a soft carbonation. I actually like the idea of an oak aged oktoberfest, it is just too sweet and a bit cloying to be elite for the style.
