3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle - 2008 Vintage. Tough cork to pop, but little carbonation noted upon opening. Pours a murky, sediment littered orange/brown with little head and no lacing. Aroma is full of light fruit, some booze, woody notes and grass - interesting, if not overwhelming. Flavor is very cider like - dry, light fruits, heavy apple note mid way through, yeasty, catching some of the pepper as well. Slight sour note in the background at all times. Palate is very dry, bordering on cottony...relatively full bodied. This would fit very well into the íintriguingí category in my book - unlike anything Iíve ever had, though I donít know if Iíll be searching another out in the future.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a clear orange with a small amount of head. A light grape note in the nose. interesting mix of flavors. Light, but with a strong note of plum and strong alcohol notes that fades into a slightly sour apple aftertaste. Iíve not had this style before, but itís definitely interesting- more drinkable than standard barley wines.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
375ml bottle. C&C. Pour is a hazy orange and flat. Nose is slightly oxidized and papery. Taste is slightly watery and completely flat. Probably a good beer, but flat it just sort of kills the mouthfeel and flavor.

2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bottle in Glenwood Springs with friends, courtesy of Aaron. Thanks Man! Pour is hazy amber-brown with a small tan head and good lacing. Bready, twangy, somewhat husky, tangy, caramelly, and figgy aroma. Taste is homebrew twang, grapey, slightly sour, husky, perfumey, grassy, and caramelly. Medium body with high carbonation. Some seriously off characteristics.
