3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Guest tap at Flossmoor Station. Rating from a taster, but just so I’ll know what to expect when I open my older bottle for a fuller rating. Cloudy yellow body, head is off-white, parfait style. Slight alcohol hotness to start. Wheat is very much up front. Some hard candy note. A little thick and chewy, like trying to eat the grains from a decoction mash. An amped-up 312.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Half of a 12.7 oz. bottle, consumed on 8-26-16. 2012 edition, so there’s approximately 4 years of age on it. Juicy, malty aroma features a caramel scent. Belgian-esque smell. Yeasty, fresh, borderline fishy smell (but live, fresh fish, like lake water). Mineral aroma. Pours a hazy bronze, cloudy in the final pour. Suspended particulate. Good effervescence. Small amount of beige head. Sweet taste features flavors of cotton candy, bourbon, bread, and caramel muffin. Also apricot. Sweeter than ideal for me. Improves on multiple sips. Medium body. Forgettable palate effects. Overall, pretty good. It’s not really my thing but I eventually came to appreciate it. I found it too sweet at first but did come to enjoy it a good bit. Memorable.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
500 mL bottle, 2013. Pours a pale, bubbly orange, with a small, foamy, off-white head. The nose is butterscotch, toffee, corn syrup, light pecans, and resin. Cloyingly sweet, with a hint of bitterness that doesn’t come close to cutting the sweetness. Medium body, very sticky, lightly effervescent, and smooth. This is an oppressively sweet, thick, beer. Not poorly made, nor simple, just far too sweet.

3.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
2006 in 2016. APPEARANCE-
Light orange amber color. Super hazy. A bit of sediment floating in the glass.
Sweet fruity notes. Perhaps apricot.
FLAVOR- feels very carbonated. Super unique flavors that I having a hard time describing. Thick mouth feel that is persistent long after I’ve taken my sip. It almost finishes like a Mead in depth and taste profile.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bouteille 37.5cl de Luekens, Dunedin. Anno 2013.

4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
2013 37.5ml from Total Wine, Miami FL. This is really good, though I don’t have a huge frame of reference for style - along the lines of FFF/Mikeller Hvedegoop, but lighter and more weiss-y. Flavour is really complex, dry yet sweet at the same time - apples, banana, vanilla bean. Rose petals, smooth aftertaste. Aroma of wheat beer and booze. Thick coating of the mouth. 11% is very well hidden, doesn’t seem boozy at all. Two Brothers usually impress me, and so does this. Be warned when pouring of the insane amount of really floaty yeast though.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
2013 Bottle from my cellar, dont remember where I got it from. Pours clear blonde, regular sized white head. Smell is chemical, dry yeasty ( lager style yeast almost ) sweet, some honey, some fruity ( grape ? ) aspect. Strong scent, but not to be called great. Taste has characteristics of what I’d call a typical belgian blonde beer. The overripe fruit notes from the strongly tasteable yeast, the mild bitterness and the thick sweetness. Drinks rather easy though. And less carbonation than the permanently overcarbonated Belgian beers. Appart from these diffrences, this could very well be yet another abbey beer blonde. You dont taste the booze, really. All and all I dont love it though

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle shared thanks to estover. Pours a brownish orange with no head. Seems completely flat. Aromas of pils malt. Grape skins. Honey. Not what I was expecting. Smells like a really strong Budweiser. Sweet taste. Not my thing.
