COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed in the style of Dortmund, Germany, this golden lager has a delicate caramel malt character, balanced by a light body and mild German noble hops, creating a crisp, refreshing finish.

I bought this as part of an M&M 6pk from Everett’s in South Beloit, IL for $9.99 in Summer 2011. Pours a clear golden amber color with a fluffy white head that makes for a great appearance during those hot summer days. Scent is a nice blend of caramel malts and noble hops giving it the authentic German Pilsner scent. The taste is comprised of soft mellow grains that compliment each other very nicely. It also has some hints of citrus and a slight spice as well that finishes nice and crisp. Quite a refreshing summer beer that isn’t too heavy or too light.

Slightly cloudy golden coloured body with a thinnish off-white head. Aroma of pale malt, metal, cardboard, light apricots and perhaps a very very small amount of grassy hops. Medium-bodied; Assertive malty flavour at first with a rather simple taste and a bit of metallic notes soon behind. Aftertaste shows a little bitterness, some light herbal flavours and a faint touch of fruits. Overall, not so impressive and not really good for the style - underwhelming. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Oliver’s Beverage in Albany, New York on 18-November-2011 for US$3.25 sampled at home in Washington on 01-December-2011 - Best By (on Bottle) 06-November-2011 - so a touch old, since I purchased it about two weeks after the ’best buy’ date and sampled it shortly after that.

A nice dortmunder, with a nice hops character to balance out the malt. Fairly light on the palate and very drinkable...might make for a good session beer.

12oz bottle in a shaker. Pours golden with a lingering, white head. Aroma of toasted and slightly nutty malts with some light hops. Flavor the same. Average texture. An average beer.

bottle - Pours lightly hazy gold with a big white head that fades quickly to a lingering small one. The aroma is of grainy malt and mild, European hops. The flavor is light, sweet malt and mild bittering hops. It’s light bodied and avoids being watery, but this brew is just alright. It’s no Great Lakes Gold.

Bottle, best by 11/6/11. Pours pale gold, effervescent, with a medium fluffy white head. Aromas of apple, sweet malt, straw, and grass. The flavor is similar, with sweet fruity malt, apple, grass, and a little corn in the finish. High carbonation and medium body. Not the best. [755]

Pours ligh amber with malt notes. Smooth mouthfeel drives a light hop note but a heavily driven malt flavor that dominates but expresses a nice smoothness in the long finish.

Pours a light golden with a nice fine white head. Flavor of alcohol lager. Kinda sour.
