4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours amber with a small white head of light tan foam. Nose is caramel. Nice and creamy on the palate, the taste is fairly sweet and full of caramelized malt with a suggestion of hops on the finish. A very flavorful beer best accompanied with a smoked turkey sandwich or with mixed nuts.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours an orange/brown color. Nutty aroma at first then almost like a fruit but granola bar. Bit of alcohol heat here too. Dubbel realm and quite good.

12 oz bottle. BB 12/31/13. (Jungle Jim’s) Fairfield, OH.
Clear copper colour with a small frothy white head.
Malty, sweet and mild dry woody and nutty aroma. A bit Bock-like. The flavour is mild bitterness, woody malt, dryness and some hops. French style country ale? I don’t think so.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a clear reddish brown with quickly fading head and not much lacing. This bottle was 3 weeks past "best by" so I’m trying to give it the benefit of the doubt. Aroma is earthy, straw, and barnyard with a little caramel and biscuit. Taste is nutty, caramel malts up front, then into some yeast in the middle, finishing thick with malts in the aftertaste with some solid roast coming through in the end. This is not typically my favorite end of the flavor spectrum, but this was surprisingly good. Palate is too thin, which is the only noticeable thing holding this beer back.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Coppery aroma. Carmel color with beautiful small bubble head which disappears quickly.
Surprisingly smooth taste considering the aroma. Almost like a caramel bock.
