This French-style country ale is deep amber in color. With a toasty, sweet caramel start, it finishes with just enough hops to clean off the palate. Bon Appetit!

Almost rose and amber crystal clear colour with a medium size shortish lasting beige head. Medium intensity spicey aromatic and floral hops form a good balance against the crystal malt aroma. Medium bodied, REminds me a lot of an IPA but with more earthier character and extra caramel and toffee malt flavours. Pleasant low sweetness and dry clean finish.

Light red color with a small beige head. Malt aroma.(bread, grain) A little caramel and hop flavors. Pretty watery and mediocre, but it is drinkable.

Musty nose with hints of berries. Low carbonation and very little head on the beer. Nice ruby color. Tasted musty and spicy - I think this beer is more proof that the French suck.

FlacoAlto (3800) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - MAR 26, 2004
This is basically a supped up version of a Fat Tire. It has more flavor & character, but it is basically an easy drinking, simple beer. It has some spicy notes, which add to the complexity, but overall it is quite simplistic and easily quaffed. A light amber color, with almost no head when served from the tap. This beer is mostly malty with some bready notes and some Belgian Yeast type spicing. A good intro beer for those not yet in to Belgian/ French country beers.

Dark amber/copper with a white head. Nose has fruit, earthiness, some spice. Flavor is floral and spice and slightly bitter. Not bad.

Small white fizzy head. Clear gold body. Not much to the aroma, but some light cardboard hops, bread, cooked corn. Tastes a little bitter with some good malt, orange, bread. Body was a bit creamy with soft carbonation.

Not really a beer de garde per se, but a lovely malty ale nonetheless. Its always a joy on tap, especially if you like malty beers-sort of like a Marzen ale type thing.

Deep amber color with a small head and some lacing. Earthy, yeasty, citrusy aroma. Light tingling in the mouth with a mildly bitter, some citrus and an almost roasted finish.

bottle-sampled on new years eve 2003-Well, i kinda forgot about this one. I traded a guy a Alpha King for one of these. This tastes like a scotch ale to me-very malty with some roasted peat-y things going on. Somewhat cardboard-esqe in the malt profile. not all that great, but solid. if your a malthead, then go for this one.
