On tap at the Streetside Cafe in Chicago. Light yellow color with tiny white head. Aroma was very characteristic hefe with lots of citrus and light yeast. Flavor was interesting, orange citrus, but with an interesting American hop character that was the backbone to the flavor, also some spice, and sweet. Med body with light carb. A very nice beer overall and the hop profile is impressive for a hefeweizen.

A light yellow straw-like color with a fair head on top. The smell is a little bit of citrus and yeast. This hefe weizen tastes light and has a little bit of citrus but sometimes has a little bit of a metallic finish. It is not as sweet as some other Hefe Weizens and in general doesn’t have as much flavor as I would have liked. Medium to light consistency with a nice amount of carbonation. Overall, a fair hefe weizen on the lighter side. It is tastes good but is not a hefe weizen of choice but rather one that I would have if there weren’t better options available.

Appearance: Pours a lively, cloudy yellow body with a foamy, off-white head. Smell: Aroma of dried wheat, cracked cloves, bananas, and a little bit of citrus. Taste: Starts with sweet-tasting wheat and lemony citrus flavors. Mild notes of banana and cloves follow and last into the flowery, lightly sour finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Lively carbonation. Drinkability: Seem like a hefe-lite to me. Still, though, it was fairly refreshing and easy-drinking.

Slight banana and bubblegum in aroma. Fairly sweet but flavours are muted. Decent bitterness rounds it out. Average.

Light yellowy and cloudy in colour. Smells wheaty and sweet fruits. Tastes similar to a Hoegaarden with a hint of banana. Nice and refreshing.

Picked up a single 12-oz bottle at The Coffee Grounds in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Pour a murky light amber brew with an average off-white head that quickly dissolves to a fine film and ring with some spotty lacing. Aroma of wheat malt, cloves and a touch of banana esters. Taste is light to medium bodied, lightly carbonated with flavors of wheat/multi-grain malt, bubblegum and some banana. Finish has a faint vanilla and banana taste with very light bitterness.

bottle - Pours light, hazy yellow with an ample yeast and citrus aroma. It tastes very yeasty and is lively on the palate, refreshing, and mild. There’s some citrus notes there, but it could have used a bit more noticeable spice character. It’s still a fine hefeweizen though.
