frankenkitty (1900), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Jun 20, 2005 Dark-amber in color...cloudy with a small, off-white head. Aromas were doughy with banana and an acidic tomato presence. Lightly bitter with some sour-apple acidity in the finish. Medium-bodied and not all that bad... rather refreshing.

StewardofGondor (1934), Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Jun 17, 2005 Lovely pale, hazy yellow/orange in color with little to no head. Aroma is very muted, with wafts of winter ski socks, a linen-like yeastiness, and pepper. Something hints at what lemon fabric softener smells like. Flavor is overly citric and sweet. Harsh lemons, acidic orange juice burps, several extra scoops of NutraSweet and a violent squeeze from a fresh, sour grapefruit. Tiny, minute traces of pepper and cloves. Nearly cloying; sticky yet astringent. Traces of harsh water throw off the balance. Finishes like lemon Sour Patch Kids. Does this brewery do anything good besides Bare Tree? Sammy (3934), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 25, 2005 Hazy golden, with lace. Yeast and bannana nose. Light, easy drink. Suitably carbonated with lemony finish. Where was the wheat? BennyTicklez (621), USA May 21, 2005 Pours hazy yellow with an average white head. Spicy, clove aroma. Taste is clove all over the place. Taste is like any other hefe, except the characteristics are more crisp and fresh. A good hefe. SkyinBrian (429), Collinsville, Illinois, USA May 14, 2005 tap, served in labeled weizen glass. large white foamy lasting head. citric and slighty astringent, banana is a little understated and overpowerd by the sweet citrus character making this quite refreshing. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA May 4, 2005 Cloudly Yellow coloring with White Creamy Head. Banana and Lightly Spicy Aroma. Spices Carry Into Flavor...Along with Some Carbonation, Citrus Notes and Overall a Very Sweet Taste. Enjoyable But Almost Too Sweet to Drink Alot of. Cornfield (4892), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Apr 16, 2005 Updated: Jul 29, 2005Pouring a hazy gold color, this hefeweizen has a short-lived fizzy white head. The aroma is mainly lemon with some banana and grasses. The flavor is a tart banana and a bit of soft caramel maltiness. Slightly tart finish. This could be good on a hot Summer day.
