With nice, malty sweetness and a soft aroma of clove, vanilla and banana, this German-style hefe weizen is unfiltered for a glowing orange hue.

Pint pour at Republic in Uptown. Unbelievably good value at $3. Golden, slightly hazy color. Nice, lazy head with small but noticeable lacing. Wow, banana and more banana. Never tasted a hefe with so much banana. End is relatively OK but Iím not sure I can drink this one again. Like a beer fueled banana laffy taffy party.

Tallahassee, Fl. - Momoís Pizza - on tap. Hazy medium golden with a sticky snow white head; nice web of lacing. Cloves and bananas in the aroma. Hearty flavor with nice coriander accents, some bubblegum sweetness, a touch of cloves. Rib sticking mouthfeel. Solid hefe - been awhile since I had one.

On tap from ABC store in Fort Lauderdale. Pours a semi-clear gold with a foamy white head. Aroma is baked bananas, citrus and sweet fruit in the background. Taste is sweet overripe bananas, cloves, vanilla and some citrus. Palate is smooth and not tart like most North American versions of this German Classic. A good example of this beer style.

Bottle which reads best by 2-26-14 - so according to the brewer, Iím having this one past itís prime. Orange, clove, and light yeasty wheat malt aroma. Hazy golden yellow with a small to moderate white head. Orange/banana, yeasty wheat, and slight clove flavor. Body on the light side of medium, lively carbonation.

Amazing aroma from this, one of the most intense I have had. Has a deep look to it for the style and a very complex flavor, a little sweet like banana candy but very nice. Overall one of the best Weiss Iíve had.

12oz bottle pours an almost clear medium yellow color with a white head. Aroma is plentiful in mild spices and wheat. Lots of sweetness from the malts. The flavor is very good with a hint of vanilla and spices. Love the blend. Overall for a Weiss beer this is really good.

Pours a hazy sunny gold with a finger or so off eggshell froth that settles to a ring and leaves some clingy, soapy lace. Nose involves soft fruit, clove spice, prominent yeasty dough, fresh flowers, vanilla, some fresh cut grass. Pretty sweet flavor, lightly tart, not bitter. Medium-light body, soft carb, oily, juicy, with a lingering dusty yeast and lightly tart finish. This is really enjoyable, very delicate but full of nuance and complexity. Would be great in warmer weather, but Iím enjoying in the depths of this hellish winter.
