beezz86 (68), Jasper, Indiana, USA Jul 17, 2009 Bottle. Poured a hazy golden color with a small white head. Smelled and tasted of colves and bananas and a bit of spices. Has a medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation, and a long finish. Overall, I like this beer but wish it was a bit spicier. I would drink this again. monkeychugg55 (213), Joliet, Illinois, USA Jul 15, 2009 Is a cloudy orange with a decent size white head that doesn’t last as long as most hefes. Aroma is mostly clove and a little banana. Flavor is what you would expect. Not amazing, but pretty good. Decent German style hefe. jkaiser (212), Orlando, Florida, USA Jul 14, 2009 This one is my favorite hefe. I tried it in chicago, while visiting world wide liquors in palatine il. rds (224), USA Jun 28, 2009 Looks OK with a golden body a thin white head--but this is not doing me any favors: sour in taste and smell, overcarbonated, yuk. esjaygee (1467), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Jun 27, 2009 Very cloudy banana yellow with a medium white head. Aroma of heavy yeast, coriander, toasted malt and a touch of lemon. Taste of lemon, yeast and mild clove, didn’t notice any banana in this one. A step below average hefe. bradner (25), Oswego, Illinois, USA Jun 12, 2009 Enjoyed in the comforts of my own home. 12 oz bottle purchased at Jewel. Cloudy bronze color with a head that dissipates quickly. Soft carbonation. Slight tartness but sweet. Mouthfeel is light to medium. I was not able to notice the hints of banana. Clove and spice was easily distinguished. Overall, a good beer that I would try again. Narnad (681), Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA Jun 7, 2009 Served at For the Love of the Hops! 2009 festival at Two Brothers Brewery in Warrenville, IL. Arrives a very cloudy yellow color with a very dense frothy head. Aroma is clove, banana and wheat with a light sweet yeasty note to it. Flavor is very sweet from the yeast, banana is light and clove is a bit stronger but overall both are very well balanced for the style with a slight tart bite at the end. Excellent density and mouth feel for this beer and fits the style perfectly. Normally Hefes don’t excite me much but this one was probably one of the better ones for this style (at least fresh from the tap) than almost any others I have had in a long while. JaBier (1130), Capital City, Ohio, USA Jun 1, 2009 Sampled at the Two Brothers tasting at Blacklick Wine & Spirits on 5/21/09. Cloudy gold pour with a medium white head. Yeasty aroma of banana and clove. Sweet banana flavor with some cream and spices. Not my thing.
