Enjoyed in the comforts of my own home. 12 oz bottle purchased at Jewel. Cloudy bronze color with a head that dissipates quickly. Soft carbonation. Slight tartness but sweet. Mouthfeel is light to medium. I was not able to notice the hints of banana. Clove and spice was easily distinguished. Overall, a good beer that I would try again.

Served at For the Love of the Hops! 2009 festival at Two Brothers Brewery in Warrenville, IL. Arrives a very cloudy yellow color with a very dense frothy head. Aroma is clove, banana and wheat with a light sweet yeasty note to it. Flavor is very sweet from the yeast, banana is light and clove is a bit stronger but overall both are very well balanced for the style with a slight tart bite at the end. Excellent density and mouth feel for this beer and fits the style perfectly. Normally Hefes don’t excite me much but this one was probably one of the better ones for this style (at least fresh from the tap) than almost any others I have had in a long while.

Sampled at the Two Brothers tasting at Blacklick Wine & Spirits on 5/21/09. Cloudy gold pour with a medium white head. Yeasty aroma of banana and clove. Sweet banana flavor with some cream and spices. Not my thing.

Sample at the Southern Tier tasting at Blacklick Wine & Spirits on 05/21/09. This beer pours a clear honey color with a medium thin white head that recedes quickly. Spotty lacing. Light banana and clove aroma. Light and clean body with flavors of bananas and citrus along with sweet spices. The finish is mostly bananas with some fruity esthers left over. Slightly above average overall.

Bottle from thickfreakness. Thanks Charles! Pours slightly hazy gold with lastine fizzy white head. Smell is sour wheat, and not in a great way. Taste is oddly tart wheat. Turns to foam in the mouth and is overcarbonated and probably infected. Not good.

Bottle. Pours a golden orange body with a white head. Banana, bubblegum, some light vanilla and cream. Spiced with a hint of grass and citrus. A step up from the wit.

Bright orange pour with white head. Estery, banana aroma with some spice. Flavor is pretty decent for a hefe, banana, vanilla, spice. Nice bubbly mouth feel. Pretty good.
