4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Yellow in color, hazy, with a small white head that is mostly diminishing. Light yeast/dough aroma highlighted by the typical banana & bubblegum. Moderately sweet flavor, likewise in the finish. Creamy, medium-full body is smooth and satisfying.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
I detect a strong roasted note in the flavor...reminded me strongly of hog dogs. Not very sweet. Cloudy, orangy straw color. Just a touch of spice lingers at the end.

Very strong smell--cloves maybe, or stale bread. Not the same as other hefewiezens.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nice cloudy appearance, good floral aroma, sweet flavours - orange, yeast and sugary banana. Lacking the peppery spice I enjoy about many wheats. . . oh well.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
solid yeast aroma, light cloudy orange, medium body, citrusy and yeasty, overall as standard as it comes, a decent beer I've had countless times before

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hazy straw color with a small white head. Nice spice wheat aroma. Refreshing wheat taste, mildly spicey, thirst quenching.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Produced a massive, loosely formed, white head...lots of it, though that dissipated completely. Hazy deep yellow body, tinge of orange. Attractive banana-spice aroma, some pineapple juice notes, with an underlying musty fruitiness that almost suggests a Cantillon or other Belgian-made lambic, perhaps a kriek. Very drinkable, and even when the carbonation bite dies, the palate morphs into something different but still acceptable. Early on in the tasting, I had a very strong citric flavor going on here, lemon with spice. The clove comes out in the flavor more strongly, and as it warms you get more of the musty sense that you're drinking a cellared beer. Very nicely put together, a reasonably complex and somewhat challenging beer. I would have wished this didn't go so flat, but it is still quite good. Bottle from Lot 3302.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A nice, cloudy golden color with a white head that quickly fades. Despite the fading of the head, the color of this wheat is very impressive. Nose is a mix of the nice wheat aroma with some sweet fruity aromas. Also very nice. The flavor also features the sweetness, and is also quite nice. Overall, this is a very attractive beer in all ways. It's not quite a GREAT German Wheat, but it is a very good one.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JUN 7, 2005 RERATE 6/7/05: Had this on draught in Geneva, Illinois. Interesting hazy golden yellow color with almost no head. Nose of banana and orange, smooth and drinkable with a mouthfeel of milk, wheaty and malty. Quite sour for a wheat beer. Mine was served with a wedge of orange.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Interesting nose of light flowers, perfume, some white wine, and bubble gum. A bit of grapefruit juice in there as well. Hazy yellow color with little head. Tastes tangy like sweet-tarts. A bit thin, but easily drinkable.
