With nice, malty sweetness and a soft aroma of clove, vanilla and banana, this German-style hefe weizen is unfiltered for a glowing orange hue.

Very pleasant lemon banana aroma. Pours with a lot of fizzy head. Very tart and sour body. Not sure if this was intended, or if the bottle I got was past due. Still a decent brew. Kinda tastes like lemon juice was added. Could be a bit smoother.

Lemon citric and yeasty aroma. Opaque dark golden in color with plenty of carbonation. Flavor has a light sweetness melded with a very fruity citrusiness and abundant, estery yeast. Finish is tart and shows some wheat malt. Surprisingly sharp and acidic in character. Refreshing.

One of my favorite Chicago area brews. Some people are turned off by the strong banana flavor but I dig it. A good weiss for people who don’t like weiss beers...not as strong of a wheat taste as others you’ll find.

Thick and cloudy. Tons of banana, vanilla ice cream, and croissant in both the nose and taste. The server of this was very interested to see what my reactions were. Maybe because I had a Bells sweatshirt on, or maybe because I was the only person in the giant Oktoberfest tent writing down notes. I assured him that it is a great wheat, minus a bit of spice. He seemed happy, shook my hand and went back to pouring from the keg. He smiled and waved proudly each time I went up for another...

Slightly cloudy straw colow with a taller big bubbled off white head. Aroma of sweet wheat and yeast. Moderately sweet malt flavor not real complex - ie. lacks some esters and spiciness. A decent dry wit finish. Satisfing for a warm summer day.

UPDATED: MAY 5, 2004 Cloudy, hazy yellow color, nice light fluffy foamy head, leaves I nice lace in my glass, aroma of banannas, bubblegum-banana flavor, light body and very drinkable not bad for the style.

I observed a quickly dissappearing head, a beautiful orange color, and a nice wheat beer aroma. I got the expected smooth taste, hints of clove and banana, but not any noticeable corriander like other wheats. The yeast bitterness at the end of each sip was a little excessive, and detracted slightly from the experience. I noticed a LOT of yeast sediment in the empty bottle.

Cloudy, golden with nice head. Typical hefe aroma of banana, clove, yeasty sourness. Medium bodied, big clove flavor, solid malt, hints of banana sweetness and a slight sourness. Body turns more creamy at the end of bottle. Good crisp flavor that satisfies and makes you quaff this like its going out of style. Thanks Psychprof.

the aroma is that of fresh bananas. the flavor reminds me of Hacker-Pschorr Weiss Beer. the palate it sits ok until i start to sip more of it then it starts to get bitter. besides the bitterness that is a very good german style wheat beer.
