12oz bottle 4/17/09-Pours a cloudy yellow with a nice white head. Aroma of cloves, banana, and spices. Taste the same with some citrus thrown in. This medium bodied brew is pretty tasty and one of the better American versions of a German Hefe.

Source: On tap at Medici in Normal, IL.
Appearance: Poured a cloudy amber color with a thin white head.
Aroma: The aroma was very spicey, with notes of cloves and yeast, with citrus notes.
Flavor: Citrus and acidic with a strong clove presence.
Palate: Medium/full body with solid carbonation and a silky mouthfeel.
Overall: Thought this was a decent Hefe, but not the best on the market.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of a trade with brentfeesh. Pours a hazy yellow gold with a large, fluffy white head that lasted until the last sip and left quite a bit of lace on the glass. Pleasant, bright aroma of lemons, cloves and wheat. The flavor is wheat grain, lemons, and cloves, with a strong sour, acidic component to the flavor. The wheat in the flavor is more earthy and more intense than the aroma. Very mild bitterness at the close.

Pours a hazy golden color with a foamy white head. Nose clove, banana, citrus. Initial taste is citrus, wheat, clove, and orange peel. Finishing mildly tart with continuing wheat and citrus. Average palate duration. Light body and average head retention.

Tastes a lot like vanilla to start, then finishes with a lot of wheat taste. Not exactly my ideal beer, but not entirely un-drinkable.

The clove and vanilla from the commercial description are definitely noticeable. Citrus-y, with coriander and some wheat presence. Lemony also. Not a bad wheat beer.
