Headbanger (1574), Aurora, Illinois, USA Apr 18, 2009 12oz bottle 4/17/09-Pours a cloudy yellow with a nice white head. Aroma of cloves, banana, and spices. Taste the same with some citrus thrown in. This medium bodied brew is pretty tasty and one of the better American versions of a German Hefe. nqualls (1429), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Apr 16, 2009 Source: On tap at Medici in Normal, IL. Appearance: Poured a cloudy amber color with a thin white head. Aroma: The aroma was very spicey, with notes of cloves and yeast, with citrus notes. Flavor: Citrus and acidic with a strong clove presence. Palate: Medium/full body with solid carbonation and a silky mouthfeel. Overall: Thought this was a decent Hefe, but not the best on the market.
beerbill (1919), Laurel, New York, USA Mar 14, 2009 12 oz. bottle courtesy of a trade with brentfeesh. Pours a hazy yellow gold with a large, fluffy white head that lasted until the last sip and left quite a bit of lace on the glass. Pleasant, bright aroma of lemons, cloves and wheat. The flavor is wheat grain, lemons, and cloves, with a strong sour, acidic component to the flavor. The wheat in the flavor is more earthy and more intense than the aroma. Very mild bitterness at the close. Alldaydrinker (557), Norwood, Massachusetts, USA Feb 19, 2009 Pours a hazy golden color with a foamy white head. Nose clove, banana, citrus.
