PilsnerPeter (2585), Flushing, New York, USA May 6, 2008 Bottle: Deep murky/cloudy golden with an astronomically large head that rises and never decreases. Frothy and resilient; great looking beer. The aroma has some oxidized notes in there. Yeasty; musty basement, honey, herbal notes and very mild banana. The mouth feel is frothy and voluminous; a bit prickly as well. This was an expired bottle, by about a year, so the yeast had been gaining character. It developed a solid tartness. Fresh lemon juice, along with a nice wheat malt bite. Some subdued ripe banana is detectable under the lemon-rind tartness. There’s also a subtle honeyish background with a later touch of white pepper and an overall smooth acidity. Extremely quaffable. Nice. Unique69crazy (119), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Apr 30, 2008 I usually don’t drink hefeweizen style brews, but there is always a time for change. Not bad though. Has a slight vanilla aroma with a smooth taste. dude107 (7), Chicago, Illinois, USA does not count Apr 13, 2008 Pretty tasty. Clear banana and bubblegum flavor, but seemed watery compared to other hefeweizens I have had. gunsho (134), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Mar 30, 2008 this beer is quite beautiful when poured. nice effervescent white head with a beautiful orange color. clean mouthfeel with notes of vanilla citrus, and banana. decent, but not a hefe fan.

Chicago, Illinois RblWthACoz (963), Brooklyn, New York, USA Feb 12, 2008 Pours a cloudy orange with basically no head. Nose is funky bananas with a spicy and very, very doughy edge. Flavor is tangy citrus. A bit too bright IMO. But still in the grand scheme of things, fairly complex. Feel has a decent carbonation and the liquid is alright. Overall this is a fairly decent hefeweizen. Won’t go down as the most interesting, but it’s certainly a noble try from an American producer. JJClark (545), Roscoe, Illinois, USA Jan 27, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear light golden color with a decent size white head. Aroma of cloves, bananas, malt and yeats. Taste is clean, semi sweet of the same. Has a lght citrus undetone to it with a smooth light finish. Very easy to drink. kseecs16 (865), Naperville, Illinois, USA Jan 7, 2008 Bottle at North Pond. Slightly hazy yellow gold with a thin off-white head. Citric bready aroma hints of banana and clove. Tart citric flavor that lingers lightly. sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA Dec 21, 2007 Bottle. Cloudy yellow/orange pour with a bif foamy white head and lively columns of carbonation. Aromas of banana, clove, and lemon. Light wheat malt flavors with some citric tartness at first, but mellowing into a more of a flat bready flavor. Seems to become progressively papery and thin. Meh.
