Dark gold pour with a 1-2 finger, soapy white head. Aroma is caramel, sweet malt, citrus, orange slice candy, light berry notes, light buttery oak, toast and pine. Flavor is toast, buttery oak, toffee, herbal hops, citrus hops, pine hops, burnt sugar, lots of overly strong fruity (berry and tree fruit) notes, a pretty large amount of booziness for 8.1%abv, light earthy spice, hints of dry leaves and bread to the finish along with a lingering burnt sugar, toffee and sweet tree fruit finish. Medium body with a creamy to oily entry and dry, bordering on astringent finish. Decent IIPA, a little too boozy and fruity, enough bitterness, but lacking in hoppy freshness and depth.

Probably the second best of the IPA’s that day behind the Wet Hopsickle. Pored an orange glowing color with some head. Aroma of lots of hops, some carmel and grapefruit. Taste is similar with a nice finish. A nice treat, I think this is going to be bottled?

Pours a clear darker rich glowing red copper color with a tall airy foamy slightly off-white sticky sudsy pillowy head. Aroma is actually quite nice and very hoppy, at first, crisp, robust, sweet rich caramel, slightly toasted, resinous, piney, just a hint of green vegetable matter that detracts from the overall, similar to this years hop juice in the off aromas. Flavor follows the off notes in the aroma, oddly vegetable like, like a badly contemplated vegetable juice drink, weird bitterness, metallic, so similar to hop juice, the vegetable notes aren’t the same as in a ’cooked’ beer, more similar to vegetable juice drinks, asparagus, celery. Medium bodied with active sharp fluffy carbonation, light stickiness.

Drinking the centennial version. Heavy pine finish. Great head. Excellent sweet IPA. They have the Chinook and Cascade on tap as well.

Tallahassee, Fl. - New Leaf Market - 22 oz bomber. Sparkling dark copper pour, sticky off-white head, nice film of lacing, Aroma has some solid patented spruce hoppy notes, a hint of minty essence. Flavor is solid with some syrupy hoppy citrus bitter notes, some fruity mango like tropical notes a bit of cake mix sweetness. Thickish mouthfeel. Pretty solid IPA.

22 ounce bottle from Keg Liquors. Malty, slightly malty IPA with some grapefruit pine. Balanced but not a huge Double IPA. Slightly subdued in finish.

Bottle from Mr. A’s in Palatine. Pours a golden orange with a foamy off-white head leaving some lace. Aroma has floral hops, pine, some citrus and some toffee. Taste is of sweet fruits, grain, spicy pine and some resin. Later in the glass, the toffee malts kick in and it becomes sweeter. Medium to full bodied with some definite alcohol presence. Finishes strong and sweet, with underlying bitterness fighting for attention, but losing out to the sweetness. Somewhat barleywine-ish, without the layering, probably due to late dry hopping that did not integrate well. 13.4

Had this on draft at two brothers. Reddish with sticky off white head. Has a dank bitter fruity taste to it. Boozing tropical aroma. Not bad. Not my favorite

Golden orange with a thin head. Smells fruity, piney, a bit muted. Taste is piney resin with a hint of peach candy, but not too sweet. Some woody dryness at the back end.

Bottle:   Heavy dank citrus peel, strong maltiness, seems to be bordering on Barley Wine.   A little perfumy too.   Almost has this candied apricot bite to it.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   As it warms the aroma even becomes like apricot or peach jam.   Fairly tasty brew.

22oz bomber- pours cloudy pale orange with cream colored head. Nose is pungent citrus pineapple and guava, resinous hops and some woody herbal hues. Rich bodied and a fair amount of malt and honey sweetness, resinous hops, dry finish. Pretty solid beer but not upper echelon ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
