nuplastikk (919), Maryland, USA Jun 29, 2009 12oz bottle. Orange-brown color, with a massive head. Dry, astringent hop aroma. Lots of fruity hop tastes, from earthy to hardcore tropical grapefruit. The wet hopping really smooths the bitter hops out, making it more thick and full versus dry and sharp. Certainly a top-notch IPA, way better than average. esjaygee (1260), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Jun 24, 2009 Lot 2678. Murky reddish orange with a mongo foamy tan head that takes too darn long to go down. Aroma is earthier than I’d expect from an IPA with caramel, citrus and some grain mixed in. Full bodied beer is well balanced with some crystal malt mixed in with orange, citrus and pine. Moderate bitterness on the back end that’s got a touch of sweetness to it as well. HopBackDoc (378), Hatboro, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 21, 2009 Pours a copper color with off white head that settles into a thin film with great lacing. Strong aroma of earthy and pine hops. Flavor was grassy and citrus hops up front that were mellowed by a caramel malt and finishing with a slightly bitter hop. Very well balanced, full flavored, and very drinkable. Very fine IPA. shawnm213 (539), South Bend, Indiana, USA Apr 24, 2009 12 oz bottle. i liked this beer. citrus, the right level of bitterness. would drink again ElDuderino (125), Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, USA Apr 13, 2009 On tap, body is a cloudy copper color with a tight pure white head. Aromas of grapefruit and pine needles and some candied sugar. Flavors of pine resin, dust, and meaty sugared grapefruit. This beer was frothy and had a bright focused flavor. The hop profile was heavy and resinous but the malts were light and carried some of the residual sugar in at the end. yesyouam (505), Fairport, New York, USA Apr 13, 2009 Two Brothers Heavy-Handed IPA is a dense, reddish amber ale with a thin, dense, off-white head that fades to leave a thin film with oily bubbles and decent lacing. It has a resiny, green leafy aroma with a doughy, biscuity malt note. It has a silky smooth medium body with a very dry, slightly chalky finish. It tastes spicy and peppery. It’s pretty bitter, but it doesn’t have a lot of hop flavor. It’s fruity and wooden. It tastes very boozy-- it’s hot on the tongue. This is not really my type of IPA, but it’s not bad at all. blipp (1407), Grand Island, New York, USA Apr 8, 2009 Bottle. Pours amber with an off white head. Aroma of caramel malt and herbal hops. The flavor has some sweeter malts and peppery, earthy, herbal hops. Not that good, but still drinkable. Cletus (4314), Connecticut, USA Mar 24, 2009 Pours copper with a thin white head. Smells of caramel, peppery, some appley hints. Tastes earthy and sweet with some bitterness that accompanies a light honey finish.
