Sweet and juicy aroma of caramel malt and citrus hops, a bit of marshmallow. Pretty sweet stuff, like candied pine. I always find it weird when IPA’s are both big salty bitter resin and big sweet fruity citrus... I figure go with one direction rather than both. This stuff isn’t extremely hoppy, or at-least not tasting so fresh. Of course its way sugary, go figure being from Two Brothers. Maddog (235), Kettering, Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Oct 2, 2008 Bottle from Belmont Party Supply in Dayton, OH. This was the 2008 Heavy Handed. A dark orange pour with a feisty, lingering head, this IPA had just a slight hop aroma and an average overall flavor. It was malty with a small presence of spice and small finish of piney hops. The problem is for 10.99 a six pack, I don’t want slight and small, I want something explosive and full of hops. A decent beer, but certainly nothing to get overly excited about. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Sep 30, 2008 Poured from a 12oz bottle (lot 2528) and served in a shaker. This beer poured a dark amber with a light haze. A thin head of tan foam quickly faded into a lasting ring, leaving behind some okay lacing. The aroma of the beer included caramel and light citrus. Not very vibrant for a wet hop beer. The flavor consisted of sturdy caramel, followed by moderately bitter grapefruit and orange zest. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied and had very light carbonation. Smooth and quite drinkable. I would have liked a bigger hop presence. An average IPA. laguerita (111), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 26, 2008 Dark amber bordering on red with a nice sticky white head. The nose is bubblegum, pine, and some kind of rubbery notes. Flavor is just kind of ehh. Muddled hops and caramel malts. Medium body. Very chewy mouthfeel. Not much carbonation. Very very average. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 17, 2008 12oz - Nice fresh IPA with what does seem to be the right amount of hops for an IPA. Hops are definitely there but not saturating the tongue. Good. hellbilly (1515), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA
