May 1, 2008 Updated: Jul 27, 2008i dont often concentrate much on color, but this is perfectly burnt orange and very pretty. this would serve well as a session IPA but little else, the booze it lacks would have brought much more character to the brew. hops are present and definately tasty but overall bitterness is stifled, this is a bit mild for my tastes but certainly enjoyable.

Apr 7, 2008 Bottled, lot# 2687, from my secret santa. Medium statured head, light tan in color with good retention and a solid coating lace. Clear, deep amber color looks swell. Nose lightly caramelly, lightly earthy with notes of grapefruit, rubber and a light woodiness. Body is med/full, oily on the palate, soft carbonation. Medium sweet malts, caramel, lightly toasty with soft citrus flavors and a light roastiness. An almost dry finish thats more malt than hop but works fairly well for some reason. Thanks Jeremy!

Mar 23, 2008 2007 bottle pours a dark golden hop haze color with a white head. Hop smells are very smooth. Tastes like other 2 bros beers and has a nice sweet caramel malt presence with a fresh complex hop profile. I enjoyed this one.

Mar 16, 2008 Bottle. Dark copper pour with thin white fizzy head. Aroma of metallic hops with faint spice. Taste of malt and piney hops. Uninteresting finish. Where are the hops? Tasted more like an American pale.

Mar 13, 2008 Bottle: Pours amber with good clarity and sparse off white head. Sweet flowery aroma with a graham cookie hint. Not much hop assertiveness or fruitiness, but still pleasant. Decent, creamy palate. Flavor is lacking character and depth. Just goes from a caramelized sweet malt character to a slightly inky, bittering hop finish. No fruity character or hop diversity. Not terrible.

Mar 3, 2008 Bottled, Lot 2847. Poured a clear, medium ambery-orange with a well-retained cap of beige head and sticky lacing. The aroma picked up a very nice blend of grapefruit, perfume, and floral hoppage over toffee and a pinch of honey at the base.. very pleasant. The flavor had sweet and sticky honey and grapefruit on the core, surrounded by pine, floral, and perfumey bitterness.. every once in a while light vegetal notes showed, but didn’t hamper it much. Medium-bodied on the palate with rather creamy carbonation.. this would’ve felt great if it didn’t get tacky/clingy at certain points. Overall a very nice brew.

Feb 23, 2008 Had an aroma of a scottish ale. Strong hints of toffee and grain with not much hop character. The taste was a lot different for that was when I got the true IPA taste which was different that the aroma but still pleasurable. Medium body and a good amount of complexity. I’d drink this one again. Nice brew.

Feb 11, 2008 Pours a clear amber with a ruby hue (when held to light). Minimal creme head falls fast. Nose is a combination of leafy and citrus aspects. Flavor is rounded. Earthy and nutty hop tones with a citrus hint. Bitter edge on the back side. Feel is smooth on liquid and the carbonation is decent enough. This is a smooth IPA that is easily drinkable.
