’08 rerate bottle at fresh/wet hop blind tasting with drewbeerme, pantanap and holdenn. Unfortunately we did not take down the batch/lot number. Cloudy dark red, wih small tan head. Aroma smells of homebrew with light citrus hops but malty and faint. Flavor is certainly infected with dirty, green hops and big malt. Medium to light body with light carbonation. Maybe young, possibly infected. Not very good. Big drop in score. theshocker (329), Marietta, Georgia, USA Sep 28, 2007 This is the first wet hopped beer I’ve tried. It says 2007 harvest. Considering the 2007 started a few weeks ago and is still ongoing, this sucker is *fresh*. I’m surprised by how little aroma it has. I had to stick my nose right in there and all I got was a slightly grassy aroma. Not great, but not horrible either. Its a pretty beer though - crystal clear, light copper, small off-white head. The flavor is interesting. Fruity, bitter. Its a little grassy, which I understand is what happens when undried hops are used, but its a really light flavor and not to bad at all. The mouthfeel is full, light carbonation, smooth finish. Its an interesting beer, worth trying. My only gripe: if your IPA is 5.7%, its not an IPA. One point deduction for mislabelling. jstraw (750), Chicago, Illinois, USA Sep 19, 2007 Red-copper with decent creamy tan head / Hop, burnt sugar & citrus nose / Medium, syrupy body with good finish / Big flavors of pine and burnt sugar with undertones of grapefruit and lemon / Very good in a more forward flavor and fuller-bodied style. drewbeerme (2223), Chicago, Illinois, USA Sep 12, 2007 12oz bottle 2007 vintage, reportedly bottled 2 days ago!! pours beautiful clear copper with off white creamy-semi soapy head. although the nose is very fresh it’s more malty than hoppy. sotra fruity hop profile with toasted biscuit malts. flavor is pretty sweet caramel and toasted biscuit with some precieved sweet hop flavor. lots of hop flavor in this but imo, it’s just unbalanced, too sweet and not enough bitterness to balance it. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 01/12/2007

cloudy orange, over abundant frothy white head, creamy body, bitter floral hop aroma, balanced flavor with dry caramel malt and lots of hop bitterness, a bit of sweetness slowly grows but the bitterness rules to the end,

bager (2121), Copenhagen N, Denmark Jul 12, 2007 Hazy orange and golden in colour with a medium sized tan head. Malty with notes of caramel, pines, flowers and citrus. hophead75 (1945), Boonton, New Jersey, USA Jun 29, 2007 12 oz bottle from Julios. Light amber, hazy orange in color. Some citrus and pine in the aroma, with alot of caramel/crystal malt. Seems like this one may have a few months of age on it. Taste is caramel with a nice citrus and pine hop flavor to balance. Light to moderately bitter, which lingers nicely. I’d like to try a fresher bottle. kenb (1100), Oregon, USA Jun 13, 2007 Updated: Jun 15, 200712 oz bottle via TomDecapolis (thanks!). Pours a semi-clean orange copper with an average size beige head. Nose is floral and piney with some lemon notes. mmm, this is tasty! Starts with some citrus hops right out of the gate, some lemon, orange, pine, grapefruit, then leaves a nice bittersweet tangerine aftertaste. The malt backbone is there and is solid, but the hops ride on top quite nicely thank you! Body is solid, carbonation is moderate. Excellant IPA!
