Amber/copper color, small off-white head. Cut grassy hops in not so intensive aroma. Malty, sticky hoppy with average palate. Nicely drinkable IPA. Dough77 (773), Aurora, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 5, 2007 Orange copper pour with nice white head. Aroma is big on grapefruit and pine. Same goes for the taste, it would scored higher if it was a little "juicier"
slight malt flavors mix wel with the heavy hoppage. iowaherkeye (1850), Bakersfield, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 5, 2007 12oz bottle, 2007 Harvest, Lot 2547--Willamette hops. Clear orange copper with a small light beige head, fades to a thick ring before long. Aroma of earthy piney hops and some caramel malts in equal amounts. Not very IPAish at all--I’d go more with an APA thus far. Flavor is much the same, though I suppose the bitterness is high enough for an IPA--a good 5 (of 10). There were some lightly sweet caramel notes, but the bitterness prevails. It should be noted that there is not this beer is not terribly flavorful or aromatic. Light creamy carbonation with a light to medium body. I wanted the hops to be much more lively and assertive due to the freshness of this beer, but it just didn’t happen. xnoxhatex (1305), Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA

’08 rerate bottle at fresh/wet hop blind tasting with drewbeerme, pantanap and holdenn. Unfortunately we did not take down the batch/lot number. Cloudy dark red, wih small tan head. Aroma smells of homebrew with light citrus hops but malty and faint. Flavor is certainly infected with dirty, green hops and big malt. Medium to light body with light carbonation. Maybe young, possibly infected. Not very good. Big drop in score. theshocker (329), Marietta, Georgia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 28, 2007 This is the first wet hopped beer I’ve tried. It says 2007 harvest. Considering the 2007 started a few weeks ago and is still ongoing, this sucker is *fresh*. I’m surprised by how little aroma it has. I had to stick my nose right in there and all I got was a slightly grassy aroma. Not great, but not horrible either. Its a pretty beer though - crystal clear, light copper, small off-white head. The flavor is interesting. Fruity, bitter. Its a little grassy, which I understand is what happens when undried hops are used, but its a really light flavor and not to bad at all. The mouthfeel is full, light carbonation, smooth finish. Its an interesting beer, worth trying. My only gripe: if your IPA is 5.7%, its not an IPA. One point deduction for mislabelling. jstraw (758), Chicago, Illinois, USA
