redlem (1155), Illinois, USA Mar 29, 2007 A very nice IPA, compared to their II quite an accomplishment. Good amber color with a above average head. Floral hop aroma with average bitterness. Medium dry finish. A fairly good strong session ale. doubelknv3 (559), Illinois, USA Mar 24, 2007 Copper with thin head. Mild fruit aroma, but nothing distinct. Notes of fruits & hops with strong bitter finish. Louipa (121), USA Mar 21, 2007 Pretty good I think. I’ll have to drink 6 to be sure.....hoppy....malty too. Its up to par. Zinister (1199), Houston, Texas, USA Mar 9, 2007 Bottle. Great looking IPA color with little head. Nice hop nose. Taste is your basic malt with good hop balance. Pine, citrus and good bitterness on the end. DrnkMcDermott (1831), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA Mar 6, 2007 Bottle. Lot 2556. From a loose bottle shelf, so I can’t be sure this is at optimum. A nice dark pour, thin ecru head. Constant stream of small bubbles. Wet hop smell does come through. Taste has more caramel malts to it, slightly medicinal and oxidized, but I can get behind this in the right mood. This batch, then, has a hop not known for being overpowering, just a big swig of bitterness, a little piney with some general citrus. Strong finish with nice bitter aftertaste. Jvittorio4187 (255), Boardman, Ohio, USA Mar 3, 2007 A lot of differenthops in this one. Nice aroma, clean finish. Major hops on the finsh. MrBunn (1520), Western, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 23, 2007 Bottle. Dark amber color with a one finger foam head. Aromas are pleasant... hops take the form of a resin/pineapple with caramel malt in the background. Flavor is pleasant, but aftertaste waits a bit and then kicks in with heavy hops... leading up to this finale, there is a pretty good caramel malt body that is OK, but once the hops takes over this is really a pleasant taste. GeneralGao (3051), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Feb 19, 2007 12 oz bottle purchased at John’s Grocery in Iowa City, IA. Lot 3006. Poured a clear copper color. Head was off white with good retention and lacing. Aroma was malty caramel and piney hops with a hint of toffee. Delicately sweet on the tongue with moderate hop bitterness. Malty caramel dominates the flavor with sprucy hops coming in a close second. Not bad at all.
