A nice smooth IPA indeed. The pour was a hazy orange with no head. The hoppiness of this beer was almost perfect. Could have been a little fuller, but it was better than a lot of IPAs I’ve had lately. The spiciness was a nice surprise.

interestin ipa. aroma more off spicy hop. there are twinges of lemon and simple crystal malt sweetness. pretty solid and not entirely the norm.

A good IPA. Nothing overwhelming nor underwhelming. A good beer. Spicy, earthy and bitter.

2006 Bottle Lot 3006. Pours a translucent golden orange amber with a rocky/creamy off white head that left lots of spotty lacing and sustained. Aroma of earty/spicy/floral hops with hints of citrus and a good amount of caramel malt. Flavors also of the earth/spicy hop, some grapefruit and pretty heavy on the hop bitterness. Would have preferred they used something other than Cluster.

Pours amber with a small head. Fruity aroma, sweet malty flavor. Not quite my style.

12 oz bottle from wheninhell - thanks Andy! Clear amber pour with a film of white for a head. Tangy sweet orange, grapefruit and apple nose. Citrus flavors, medium bitter, decent malty base. Mildly thin. Bitter citrus finish. Solid but unspectacular IPA.

Couleur brun-roux. Mousse peu abondante avec de très belles grosses bulles. Nez de pamplemousse légèrement sucré. Ronde en bouche. L’amertume se fait ressentir en milieu de dégustation et s’estompe en finale. Pas du tout d’effervescence. (Bouteille achetée chez Julio’s).

Pretty interesting brew here. Assertive malt presence of toffee and caramel overpowers the hops in most aspects. Appearance is cloudy orange, almost copper. Offwhite head fails to impress and lacing is scant. Taste is well balanced. Slight citrus and some grassy and pine hops struggle here with the assertive maltiness. Finishes pretty well balanced thanks to the assertive hops array. I really like this one but it’s a departure from the stated style.
