| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 2, 2005 No aroma that I could discern. Very big hoppy flavor, yet it was also very smooth. Overall it was good, but nothing special. MI2CA (1266), Noblesville, Indiana, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 27, 2005 Updated: Nov 13, 200612oz - Aroma is floral hops with a touch of carmel malt. Pours a transparent copper color with a very small head and little lacing. Flavor is wet floral hops with a small carmel malt back. Much more balanced than the "Hop Juice". Palate is smooth. An easy drinking IPA. - UPDATE - had this on tap at Charlie’s Ale House in Wheaton, IL and notched up the aroma one point and everything else stayed the same. The floral hops were sharper and more pronounced in the aroma. Otherwise, the rating is the same. frankenkitty (1900), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 18, 2005 Whiskey-colored with a compact head that fades fast to film. Sweetish caramel behind grapefruit, the hops here are bigger in its taste than aroma. Crisp, fresh apple starts the flavor; sweet malts reveal as caramel with roast; bittering finishes with a citrus hit of orange and lemon. Some resemblance to a watery liqueur.
62 IBUs may sound like alot, but this was a very sessionable IPA that was not as "heavy handed" as I’d hoped. (A comfortable level of bitterness, I’d suppose, for the uninitiated.)

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 16, 2005 On tap at The Map Room. Pours a medium orange with a rocky thick head that gradually fades away. The aroma was relatively mild for an IPA with malts being more prominent than the standard citrus and pine hops. Medium bitterness on the finish. SpudClampDawg (1027), Jasper, Indiana, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 10, 2005 Magenta-tinged cider. Citrus hops seem to float on top of a layer of bready malt in the aroma. The intial hop wetness in the body disperses and reveals a great, creamy malt middle. Nutty and sweet, the malt gives this some depth, and a nice balance to the chewy hops. Solid. jimhilt (1674), Bow, New Hampshire, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 10, 2005 Pours a white, two finger-head that vanishes slowly leaving a good lace. Almost clear amber color. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied. Nose is hoppy. Starts with more malts than hops, finish is what you would expect with an IPA - bitter with a lingering aftertaste. $1.85 for a 12oz bottle from Julio’s Liquors Westborough, Ma.
