robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA Nov 16, 2004 Orange Coloring with White Ring. Hops, Little Aroma...Dry...With Hops Coming Out Towards the Finish... Pretty Balanced and Subtle... Hard to Hate a Smooth IPA. JoeM500 (1876), Chicago (little italy), Illinois, USA Nov 15, 2004 Cask, with Jaymobrown and a topless-at-times sexy waitress. Solid malty nose that is boqueted with grassy and citrus notes. Soft and perfectly served, the balance is just right between the toasty and caramelly malts and the bitter hops. Included in the notes, "the totally hottest chick just showed us her tits, beer points" Not sure what "bber points" was supposed to mean, but I’m guessing that her flashing made the beer taste that much better. rudolf (1734), Buffalo, New York, USA Nov 13, 2004 Sweet grassy, citrus and herbal nose. Flavor is quite herbal - juicy up front, herbal bitter finish. Toasty malt. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 11, 2004 Pours a semi-turbid deep amber/orange color with minimal head...4 for appearance. Aroma of malt, hopcit, slight fruit...decent...8. Tastes malty, with a solid hop presence coupled with slight scotch and apricot. Fairly dense palate with a semi dry finish. Not an elite IPA, but excellent nonetheless. Jon123 (36), Emmaus, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 9, 2004 This beer is brewed with fresh hops rather than dried hops. The fresh hops provide a more balanced finish while still maintaining its own unique "bite". The aroma and flavor are more fruitfull than other dried hops beers. This is a great beer to drink and compare to the dried hops varities. It is only made during times when fresh hops are available so get some if you can. If you like IPAs you won’t be dissappointed. Prostman (1077), Pennsylvania, USA Nov 1, 2004 This was a very nice IPA. The flavors were very fresh and juicy hops and the finish made you want more. Recommended. 11026 (1799), Alabama, USA Oct 25, 2004 Tap. Floral hop aroma. Golden amber color with a nice white head. Well balanced between malt and hop in taste. Hops are slightly more dominant here. Good IPA. mdi (573), Nebraska, USA Oct 24, 2004 Hand-pull at Clark St. Alehouse Tastes like hoppy, flat wort before fermentation. A sort of sickly sweet hop juice. Can’t help but wonder what the hell is going on, did this thing ever ferment? thick, sweet, warm, flat and awful. Yes, it was awful. I hate to say it, but it was. Smelled and looked OK though. I had it side by side with the regular keg version...it tasted like it had actually fermented! Much better, not so disgustingly sweet/ thick with some carbonation. I’d give the regular about a 3.5/5 for a total.
