| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Jun 21, 2009 Pours a copper color with off white head that settles into a thin film with great lacing. Strong aroma of earthy and pine hops. Flavor was grassy and citrus hops up front that were mellowed by a caramel malt and finishing with a slightly bitter hop. Very well balanced, full flavored, and very drinkable. Very fine IPA. shawnm213 (915), South Bend, Indiana, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Apr 13, 2009 On tap, body is a cloudy copper color with a tight pure white head. Aromas of grapefruit and pine needles and some candied sugar. Flavors of pine resin, dust, and meaty sugared grapefruit. This beer was frothy and had a bright focused flavor. The hop profile was heavy and resinous but the malts were light and carried some of the residual sugar in at the end. yesyouam (589), Fairport, New York, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Apr 13, 2009 Two Brothers Heavy-Handed IPA is a dense, reddish amber ale with a thin, dense, off-white head that fades to leave a thin film with oily bubbles and decent lacing. It has a resiny, green leafy aroma with a doughy, biscuity malt note. It has a silky smooth medium body with a very dry, slightly chalky finish. It tastes spicy and peppery. It’s pretty bitter, but it doesn’t have a lot of hop flavor. It’s fruity and wooden. It tastes very boozy-- it’s hot on the tongue. This is not really my type of IPA, but it’s not bad at all. blipp (1641), Newark, New Jersey, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Apr 8, 2009 Bottle. Pours amber with an off white head. Aroma of caramel malt and herbal hops. The flavor has some sweeter malts and peppery, earthy, herbal hops. Not that good, but still drinkable. Cletus (5052), Connecticut, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 24, 2009 12 oz bottle. Ah, another beer on the quest of rating. Pours a copper brown color that has a tiny white head which disappates very quickly. Smells of an abundance of caramel, some wet hops, and a bit of honey (though I might be confusing that with the caramel). Tastes of lots of caramel, some honey, a bit of grass, and the lightest amount of hops that I’ve had in an IPA in a while. Goes down fairly smooth, but it has too much caramel. Interesting beer, but I was hoping for a lot more hops in this IPA. shadey (1496), Rochester, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 18, 2009 12 Bottle from BOTW. Pours a nice amber color with a decent pillowing head. Aroma is floral and fresh west coast hops. The flavor is more caramely than I had expected. This is a full bodied IPA - with more to it than just screaming hops. Incredibly easy to drink and quite pleasurable - if not memorable.
