joshwilfong (769), Cleveland, Ohio, USA Jan 10, 2009 reddish brown, reasonable white head. flavor of some crystal malt with a lot of hop bitterness and not a tremendously good hop flavor. not bad, pretty average IPA WeeHeavySD (2940), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Jan 9, 2009 12oz bonus from Msante I think. Pours orange with a tan ring. Nose is sweet and hoppy. Taste is overly bitter and a bit too sweet for me. Overall pretty good though. daknole (2805), Plantation, Florida, USA Jan 6, 2009 bottle. Good surprise here! Nice amber pour. Aroma is very nice with citrus being the most dominant player. Flavor hits with a good dose of citrus hops which quickly gives way to some sweet malt flavor. Finish is lightl bitter and very nice. I enjoyed this beer. chicagodri (1021), Chicago, Illinois, USA Dec 28, 2008 12 ounce bottle. Pours orange/copper with a thin head. Nice citrus aroma. Good citrus hop flavor, but the sweet malt really wins and dominated the flavor. A little sweet, but a nice IPA. FlssmrBrewAlum (1079), Lisle, Illinois, USA Dec 22, 2008 12 oz bottle courtesy of the infamous Binnys Singles Rack (Orland Park, IL). Pours a mouthwatering dark copperish pour kissed with burny orange, a decent beige head that dissipates to a film, fairly hazy body. Aromas are prominently citrus and sweet carmel malt., mixing well on the palate. Initial taste is more laid back, sweet caramel and toffee dance on the palate with some moderate citrusy bitterness coming through as I work through the body. Bitterness sustained on the finish. Lighter on the hops, a bit too sweet on the balance, but different, good medioum bodied brew. Almost a glorified amber that has a great bitter finish. j12601 (1151), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA Dec 21, 2008 Mini growler from Half-Time. Pours a deep amber color reminiscent of a vegetable stock or maple syrup. Small light tan head. Heavy citrus and light pine on the nose, with a hint of sweet malt. Medium to thick mouthfeel with a bit of sweetness leading into a quinine and grapefruit laden finish. WisconsinBeer (514), St Paul, Minnesota, USA Dec 19, 2008 Bottle. 2008 variety. Pours a deep brilliant orange color, lots of carbonation emanating up from the bottom. Flavor is sugary malt followed by a blast of fresh clean hops. Hops are pine like and a bit grassy. Malt bill is mild, a bit sweet, as if some sugar was added to the fermentation. Medium bodied, fizzy on the palate. Ends on a lingering dry note. Damn, this is a solid IPA, with a nice sweetness to balance the hops. Block (363), West Lafayette, Indiana, USA Dec 17, 2008 Pours a dark orange/brown. Lacing off white head. Aroma of light malts, citrus, and hops. Light body. Hops at the finish but nothing very strong.
