More than I was expecting (citrus, grapefruit hops with some cereal malty backbone). Medium bodied. Easy drinker but not a pounding beer. Overall; quality session brew, whose abv might sneak up on you! wickedpete (629), Lexington Park, Maryland, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 6, 2008 Thanks to Vance for this one. Orangish, amber appearance, standing up a creamy beige head. Aroma has a caramel sugary character, and some berry fruitiness along with the pleasant hops. Sugary sweet up front lending to dry bitterness surrounded by caramel, citrus, and some earth. Medium body makes for easy drinking. satan165 (620), River Grove, Illinois, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Apr 13, 2009 Two Brothers Heavy-Handed IPA is a dense, reddish amber ale with a thin, dense, off-white head that fades to leave a thin film with oily bubbles and decent lacing. It has a resiny, green leafy aroma with a doughy, biscuity malt note. It has a silky smooth medium body with a very dry, slightly chalky finish. It tastes spicy and peppery. It’s pretty bitter, but it doesn’t have a lot of hop flavor. It’s fruity and wooden. It tastes very boozy-- it’s hot on the tongue. This is not really my type of IPA, but it’s not bad at all. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 21, 2008 Pours a dark auburn in color with about an inch of head. Smell is juicy hops. Quite floral and aromatic. Taste is slightly bittering and citrusy, juicy. Decent IPA. This is really easy drinking and enjoyable. Plenty of soapy lacing sticking to the insides of the glass. hezron (604), Viroqua, Wisconsin, USA

Tasted apple and small hint of something else...pine perhaps? Moderatly bitter, dry finish. tmoreau (603), Lombard, Illinois, USA

Citrusy, light grapefruit, orange rind, with floral & pine notes which follow to flavor. A bit of malt sweetness with the fruit, but blanketed nicely by the hop dryness throughout. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 26, 2008 12 oz bottle. Hazy dark gold with no head. Sweet, aromatic, slightly hoppy nose with some chocolate notes. Taste is sweet, fruity and a bit alcoholly upfront, with a nice hop/malt balance throughout. Easy drinking beer that reminds me of St Arnold Elissa. Well done.
