3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Not my favorite IPA. This is my second of the Two Brothers brews. I think that I am having problems with their yeast strain primarily. There are some hops in the aroma, but a lot more malt than I would guess. Call me a hophead, but I like my IPA’s devoid of anything in the nose but hop bitterness. That said, they nailed the color -- beautiful peachy amber. The malt hits you as strongly as the hops upon tasting. Not a bad pale, but nothing close to an IPA.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Antioch. No bottle date. Pours amber orange. Some head. Some lace. Pine, citrus and some earthiness leads to a taste with caramel, heavy pine and chewy resin. Crystal malts and earthiness follow. Syrupy. Would have put the abv higher than 6.7. Finishes to the bitter side of bittersweet, and gets more so. Meh. Decent, but nothing to write home about. 13.7

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at Groveland Tap. Bumped pint glass. Copper color with quarter finger head. Aroma is heavily citrus and some floral. Taste has that cloying/drying tendency some beers exhibit. Bitter hop presence which was expected based on the hop levels proclaimed in the name. Kind of a grapefruit rind element. Shows improvement as you drink it but doesn’t get to the impressive stage. It’s a good one to try but lower your expectations slightly.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap, poured into a shaker. The aroma is a mellow, citrus and floral blend, with some caramel and grain late. It pours an oily brown-orange color with an off-white, soapy head. A thick, fluffy ring is left behind with a hefty surface layer, and lots of lace is left on the glass. The taste is a medium bitter with a slightly lighter sweetness. The beer is slick with a creamy smooth carbonation and a medium body. Well blended flavors of caramel and resin come through with a slightly burnt and slight cola touch. The finish is crisp with citrus and a bit of resin. The aftertaste is a bit cloying with notes of bread and citrus peel. Solid IPA, very easy to drink.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tallahassee, Fl - Market Square Liquors - 12 oz bottle. Pours a sparkling medium dark copper with a persistent off white head that leaves a nice film of lacing. Light sprucey accents, some nuttiness in the aroma. Flavor has a nice subtle bitterness to it, some nuttiness, a touch of caramel sweetness, a hint of vanilla. Nice, thick mouthfeel. Enjoyable.
