Red gold liquid poured in an explosion of fizzy bubbles that quickly resolved to a 2-finger snow-white rocky head that receded slowly with intricate lacing. Aromas were Grapefruit, lime, and spruce. Flavor was big grapefruit hops. As promised, it was Heavy-Handed. There was a little lemon/lime, herbs and sawdust, too. Very bitter, of course. Great reminder that, without hops, beer is just baby whiskey. Furseth (1339), Kungälv, Sweden

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Feb 5, 2008 This was a very good beer. Poured from the bottle to a drak orange-red color with thick off-white head that lingered thru most of the glass and left good lacing. Nose was an immediate tangy, citrusy hop (mostly grapefruit)with a pleasant malty background. Mouthfeel of this full bodied beer was tangy and slightly bitter, but again ofset just enough by the malt. Flavor accented the citrus hoppy flavor of the nose, but also worked in a littel malty dark fruit as well.
This alll led to a very well rounded, long full finish.

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 9, 2004 This beer is brewed with fresh hops rather than dried hops. The fresh hops provide a more balanced finish while still maintaining its own unique "bite". The aroma and flavor are more fruitfull than other dried hops beers. This is a great beer to drink and compare to the dried hops varities. It is only made during times when fresh hops are available so get some if you can. If you like IPAs you won’t be dissappointed.
