Bottle thanks to adnielsen ! Pours a deep burnt umber color with a thick khaki head that sticks around for the life of the beer. The nose is cherry cola, some dark plum and some barrel funk. The palate is berry heavy with some nice cherry cola acid and caramel malt backbone. Bright acidic, funky, dry finish... Damn this is an interesting sour. Well done.

Dark brown body, medium sized tan head, soapy lacing. Vinous and tannic, with some dark fruits and berries, lightly earthy malts. Medium bodied, mellow carbonation, lingering finish, lightly acidic, gentle sourness. Rather benign and middling. Pleasant, however.

Got this in a recent trade from one of you guys, can’t remeber who but I appreciate it for sure. Dark black-brown color. Interesting smell, clearly wild, a bit of brett and a vinous aroma, not bad. taste was also vinous, slight bit of sour. Overall I thought this was pretty solid. Its not going to rival Russian River or Lost Abbey but its a good start. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 06-08-2012 02:48:40

Bottle at the blizzard tasting in D’s place. Pours a brown almost tan color with a medium white head. A big nose of barrel, brown malts, molasses. A smooth tart Old Bruin flavor with wood, sawdust, light cherries, molasses and caramel, sweeter in the finish. Good.

Sour aroma; earthy, a little roasty. Sour flavor, with some roasted malt character that go well together.

Bottle. Pours a super dark near black with a small tiny bubbled tan head. Aroma is very nice, big sour brett character, acetic, lactic, lots of wood, nice vanilla component, burnt cherry. Flavor follows but there some very distracting off flavors, something burnt, something a bit roasty, weirdly boozy, but other than that the cherry candy sweetness and tartness is spot on and very similar to some RR, maybe just picking up tannins in the finish? The dark malts just seem to muddle what is otherwise a very very tasty sour.

Bottle. Pours deep brown with a small light tan head. Aroma is nicely tart, dark berries, a touch funky some oakiness, winey sour cherry. Flavor starts with a nice crisp tartness, biting and a but earthy and funky with dark fruit. Quickly picks up some malty cocoa notes towards the finish which loses some of the funk and tartness. FInishes still a bit crisp and woody but more mellow. Medium body and crisp carbonation.

From jcnd9803. Dark brown with espresso head that falls to practically nothing. Aroma has some coffee roast, fruit and light vinegar. Taste is sour and sweet. Good.
