Pretty hoppy, but surprisingly not very bitter. Booze is fairly well hidden. Pretty good stuff, definitely work a try

ABV: 9.9% IBU: 100.1 Aroma: Hoppy, grainy, and resiny with with citrus notes and a hint of the well hidden booze Appearance: A great orange, amber, like grain color with a thin layer of head that stays consistent. Taste: The taste of hops is definitely here but no too bitter like some Imperial IPAs can be. This was very well balanced and light. Palate: Well carbonated, warming, light, with a nice finish. Overall: A great well balanced Imperial IPA that doesn’t over due it in the bitterness taste which often ruins the beer all together.

On-tap, served in a tulip. A: Pours a dark amber, almost like a cherry wood, with a big frothy white head with some very sticky lace. Great rings follow me down the glass, looks great. S: I’m picking up a very piney, resiny note that seems to fit right with my expectations. Also there is some very oaky/tree-like notes as well. T: Same as the nose but much more pronounced and balanced. Big resiny notes with a big oak backbone. It’s not overpowering though and balances nicely with the slight dry malt. Also a little bite of bitterness at the end that really brought it together. M: Sticky and slightly syrupy with a medium carbonation. Coats the palate with a nice piney bitterness, but very smooth. O: This was thicker and more oaky than I was expecting with my line of other DIPA’s, but I enjoyed it. It was well balanced as well. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 08-07-2011

Bomber thanks to Dallas. Pours a dark copper color with a medium white head. A rich fruity nose with caramel. A big malty IPA with loads of pears, some candy, bitter hops. Good.

Orange/copper, slight haze, off-white head. Hoppy aroma with blend of resiny and citrusy notes and some underlying bready and toasty malt. Flavor of toasty malt with some caramel, citrusy malt, some slightly grassy, green-hop character. Balanced finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very sweet, but not nearly as DFH 120 min. Has a pine, citrus and butterscotch aroma and is b-e-a-utiful in appearance: dark amber with a foamy cream colored head. Not very bitter, but hoppy... sweeter citrus fruits, caramel malts.

Aroma of citrus hops, grapefruit, caramel, and a hint of toffee. Massive hop profile on the palate. Delicious grapefruit and citrus hops. This beer is awesome. Great double IPA, one of my favorites. Started with a beer sampler and ended with a tulip right after I tried it. Great palate and finish. Another must try. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A-- Poured a dark, hazy orange grapefruit color. Half finger of bright white head. Went quickly to film. No visible carbonation, good rings of lacing while drinking. S-- Orange, grapefruit and pine with a Carmel backbone. Very alcohol forward nose. Not very well hidden at all. T-- Ethanol, fresh but soft grapefruit, orange and pine. Lots of alcohol in the taste and very little malt backbone. M-- Dry and crisp. Slightly creamy. Hoppy pine and grapefruit in the mid palate. Lots of alcohol in the mouth. Pine and grapefruit finish. O-- Could be reallly good except for the amount of booze in this. Finished dry and clean but to me the problem was the amount of alcohol in this. Not very well hidden. Was better at Two Brothers I thought on hand pump.

Bottle. Awesome aroma - pine, hops, some wet wood. Pours golden with white whispy head and nice lacing. Fantastic DIPA flavor, good malty backbone balancing the strong hops. Lingering palate - awesome beer.
