Commercial Description:
Hop Juice is one of a series of special limited-run beers in styles that are more extreme or unusual. This one is a real hop blast, dripping with the resiny soul of fresh Northwest hops. Don't come crying to us if it's too much for you; this one's for hopheads only! And get it now, cause when it's gone, it's gone. Boo hoo. 22.7 Plato 100.1 IBU

I was in their new Tap Room on opening night and was able to get the second glass poured from this years brand new batch of Hop Juice. It couldn’t have been fresher. This truly is a beer for the Hop Head. This beer is better on tap then in the bottle.

From a 22oz. bottle--Poured a clear orange/copper with a small whitish head. Fruity, piny, and quite floral. Lots of chewy bubblegum. A little sweet from the malts. Not as bombastic as some big boy hop beers. Very nicely crafted and smooth considering weight.

Bottle; purchased in Louisville in the summer of 2007. Poured a nice, clear orange color with a small but thick looking head. Aroma was very enticing; a nice blend of grapefruit and citrus. Some sweet caramel and juicy fruit too. Palate was good; both a bit sticky and creamy. Flavor was solid; about average for the style. Pretty drinkable, with some sugary and pine elements, to compliment the caramel base and grapefruit hop finish. Hops weren’t all that assertive. Almost sessionable in terms of the flavor.

Copper in color the nose was filled with scents of sweet grapefruit, pine, malt and dark caramel. In the mouth it was rich and begins with a nice malty sweetness that fades away to show dry, bitter hops. A very nice beer with a lingering finish.

Pours a clear burned orange amber with some sediment at the bottom with a big cloudy head that retains well and laces. Smells of huge hops, juicy fruit, citrus and rind. Tastes of strong malt with piney hops, dried fruit and a little alcohol. Finishes mildly bitter. Feels medium and crisp in the mouth. A delicious brew with the feel of a single IPA. Very drinkable and the ABV is so well hidden that you should enjoy carefully. A tasty brew indeed.

Pours a dark gold in color. Only a little bit of head forms atop the beer. Smell is subtle hops and a ton of malt. Taste is much the same. I don’t know when this was bottled, but I just bought it yesterday. This is all malt, all the time. Medium body on the mouthfeel. I was expecting something different and alot more hops.

Bomber, pours a clear orange/copper color with a moderate white head, minimal lacing. Aroma is pine, orange peel, and caramel. Flavor is certainly hoppy, with a solid malt backbone, but nothing too exciting. The alcohol is well hidden, and there is a lingering bitterness that is pleasant. Agree with a lot of comments here - average...

There’s something to be said for the head on a beer. Beer without a nice foamy head is barely recognizable as beer. This beer has no head atop the nearly opaque bronze/orange body. Smell is more mild than other DoubleIPAs, plenty of hops, but notes of flowers and pine. Flavor is anything but mild, strong lemony citrus flavor, pine, grapefruit with a touch of malt and caramel at the end. Finish is lasting bitterness and the high alcohol hits you hard. I expected more of the resin the description offers, but all in all, it was an above average IIPA.
