The has it listed as Hop Jack. Solid double ipa. Finished on the bitter side. waolsen (1218), Littleton, Colorado, USA Sep 15, 2006 bottle. hazy copper pour with very thin head. fresh hop and mild malt aroma. nothing too special in the aroma. hops, sour malts, earthy, resin, small citrus flavor. bitter and tart finish. not well balanced. I wont be crying because its too much but I might because I have a bomber of this and its not all that its made out to be. Shocked that this is a double IPA. BückDich (4777), McCall, Idaho, USA Sep 11, 2006 Bottle: Lots of caramel and yeast suspended in the drink, light head and lacing, a bit hazy. Nose is very floral and fruity, juicy and grassy with some tropical notes. The flavor is nice and sweet for the body and alcohol. Nice light bottle with a tart, tangy finish. Refreshing and clean. Nice. Jabswitch (206), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Sep 9, 2006 Golden and hazy. Lots of particles floating around. Sweet, malty aroma with hint of alcohol. Smooth when it first hits the taste buds, followed by a bitterness that would be expected with a beer of this name and style. Occasionally I would sense the fleeting smell of rubbing alcohol. Not a beer I would want to drink on a regular basis but for an occasional adventure, it was very satisfying. muenster (339), Sevierville, Tennessee, USA Sep 7, 2006 Bottle. Pours copper/orange with a very thin beige head, and tons of floaties. Aroma is strong grapefruit, and sweet tangerine like citrus hops. Flavor is much like a very hopped-up Dale’s Pale Ale. Grapefruit, citrus, and a very green tea-like finish. A bit chalky in the middle, and a bit unbalanced overall. The alcohol is hidden very well, though. nambud (2), USA does not count Sep 6, 2006 Great double IPA here. Let it sit for six months to a year, and it develops into a phenomenal DIPA. The malt is there, but it doesn’t shine through until it has aged for a bit. Definitely a hop bomb. IndianaRed (1553), Boise, Idaho, USA Sep 5, 2006 Bottle pours a slightly hazy orange, light amber with a medium sized fizzy head. Aroma was hoppy, but not very flavorfull. Some bittness from citrus possibly but not very strong. Flavor was equally unin\mpressive. Some hop flavor, not very disticnt and little actuall bitterness. Finish was smooth and fairly easy for a double IPA and the carbonation was moderate. Not quite up to the "Double" standards and I am not sure that it is even very stong for an IPA in general. Surprised to see nearly 1)% ABV, would not have guessed that high. Thanks Jordan.
