3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Was expecting more punch from the hops in aroma...but mild piney citrus hop aroma. Deep orange amber, darker than anticipated, nice tan froth head that hold well. Sweet malt is over powering, Caramel peaks through, Whereís the hops. More alcohol burn on finish, with mild bitterness. If you like malty ipaís, have at it.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from mariís. Pours clear copper with a medium sized off white head. There is a good bit of carbonation in the glass. The aroma is hoppy is heck with a ton if tropical fruit, earthy piney dirty hops beyond. The taste is medium bitter with a big orange balance. A little syrupy but very nice.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a hazy dark golden-amber with a fairly buoyant beige head that leaves some sticky lace. Nose involves tropical fruit, resiny pine forest, deep sweet malt, honey, toffee, toast, some grapefruit, and caramel. Very sweet and very bitter, so balanced in that sense. Full bodied, syrupy, a touch oily, vibrant with hops, concluding with an alcohol warm bitter finish. On the malty side, but also very hoppy, so nicely complex and awesome. A little more aromatically would push this into the upper echelon for me. As is, still pretty damn nice.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Caramel, resin, spruce, some citrus and alcohol in the aroma are washed by the lightly sweet and medium bitter taste. A lingering burn from the alcohol makes it difficult to enjoy any of the other aroma and taste components, and is making it difficult to enjoy this ale. Otherwise, it looks great in a glass and has a nice mouth feel. I may grab another twelve ounce bottle to confirm my experience. Iíve been enjoying the lighter offerings from Two Brothers lately, but have been a little disappointed in some their higher gravity six pack releases.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap. Hazy orange with small head. Good lacing. Aroma is subtle. Initial taste is too heavy on sour fruit for me, but nice in the middle and great finish. Good double ipa, especially if you like the more aggressive hop, fruit, alcohol.
