It is a maize colored solution with a good off-white head and good lacing. This dry bitter beer offers the palate an abundance of hops. It fades with a hint of vanilla creeping in right at swallowing and then turns hoppy as it lingers. sandwichpants (117), Royal Oak, Michigan, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Mar 3, 2006 From a bottle at the Berkley Front. Light orange, slightly cloudy at first, with a slightly fluffy white head. Aroma strong of northwest hops, balanced between piney, floral, and citrus. Flavour is the same, with a nice, slightly toasty backbone. Pretty good body, but a tad more astringent than I’d prefer, very tingly. Citrus (grapefruit especially) really opens up once you let it warm up a bit, which I find enjoyable. This would be a great beer to age. Jeppe (2638), Ølbutikken, Denmark
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 1, 2006 An unclear dark orange beer with a white head. Dominating fruity aroma. Dry hoppy and grassy flavor with nutty notes. Biding on the tongue. Nice but rather unbalanced. Arayaga2 (949), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Taste is same with added floral tea-taste dimension. Solidly bitter, but very nice flavor that you only begin to $850/24 ozappreciate after several sips.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 19, 2006 Pours orange/amber with short lived white head. Pine resin floral hop aroma dominates. Smells like a Christmas tree. Pleasant malty sweet flavor like maple syrup which is surprisingly well balanced with the strong bitterness and citrus flavor in the rush of hops which follows. This truly is for hopheads, but it’s so well balanced that even those who aren’t won’t be put off. Hell, the hops totally wipe out the ABV! Really good brew! anders37 (4607), Malmö, Sweden
