Fruity, piny, and quite floral. Lots of chewy bubblegum. A little sweet from the malts. Not as bombastic as some big boy hop beers. Very nicely crafted and smooth considering weight. Sticky lacing throughout the drink. Nose is excellent. Lots of piney hops, lemongrass, floral citrus and sweet malt. No hint of the 10% ABV. Medium in body with a crisp, slightly tangy finish. Hard to believe this is 100 IBUs. A very good beer from this local brewery. evilempire (122), sheffield, South Yorkshire, England

Tried it twice, immediately after I’d tapped it and again the next day. Obviously hazy at the first sample, but cleared by the second. Both times absolutely superb piney aroma, followed by pine & citrus hop flavours, that amazingly manage to hide the alcohol burn, no mean feat at this strength. A deliciously dry, long lasting aftertaste nicely finishes off this impressive offering. Were it not for all the other new beers, could all too easily have had a session on this FriarHop (31), Long Beach, New York, USA
