Hazy orange pour with a nice lacing white head. Pine and grassy hop packed aroma. Hop flavor up front with an alcoholic kick to it. Overall flavor dominated by backend hop bitterness.

Bottle. Poured a dark honey. Aroma of malty caramel grains and floral hops. Toffee. Grains. Bitter finish. Average carbonation. Ok. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Amber with thick foamy head. Strong floral hop aroma. Taste is chewy resinous caramel malt and earthy resinous hops. Bitterness is pronounced but not overpowering. Nothing about this one blows me away. Not bad but an average IIPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap, pours slightly cloudy amber. Expected happier nose, so disappointed on the aroma. Nice hop bitterness offsets significant malty smoothness. Overall enjoyable, but I expected something more on the hop profile.

Bottle. Pours copper, slight haze, off-white head. Hoppy aroma with blend of resiny and citrusy notes and some underlying bready and toasty malt. Flavor of toasty malt with some caramel malt, citrus some slightly grassy, green-hop character. Balanced finish. I would have liked more of a grapefruit flavor from the hops.

Pours a murky amber with a small off white head. Aromas of dirty dishes, baby shit. Taste is bitter alcohol butt wipes. Finishes on a note of dumpster juice from the dumpster outside the Chinese restaurant. No.

Very citrusy with nice tropical and piney hops. Very sweet with a bitter finish. All in all a very imperial IPA and easy drinker. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a bright amber in color with a full, frothy white head. The aroma foreshadows the strength in this one. It smells potent. Caramel, resin, orange, sugar, and hints of apple, pine, and alcohol. The taste is sweet and malty. It is balanced well with caramel, orange, and alcohol. Hints of pineapple and bread. Aftertaste is an alcoholic orange flavor. Full bodied, with a thick and chewy texture. Average carbonation, but below average for one of this style. I canít say this is great, but its alright to drink. But there are many other Double IPAs that Iíd rather drink.

Whole Foods, Bowery 12oz ($4): Pours amber with off-white head. Aroma is tropical fruit, citrus, toffee. Taste is rather hoppy, but is actually well-balanced against the fairly hefty malt backbone. This is somewhat sweet. Not really bitter, but more of a tropical fruity fruit basket. Medium bodied. Pleasant to drink.

Cloudy deep golden orange pour with a soapy thin layer of white head and sticky lacing ..... aroma of sugar caramel malts, light piney hops and resiny citrusy hops ..... taste is of caramel malts, sugary, bitter resiny grapefruity hops, oranges and light piney hops ..... has a balanced bitter hop bite that lingers into a dry sugary finish ..... abv hidden well
