3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 MatSciGuy (905) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAY 18, 2012
[Bottle] Pours a clear golden caramel with a medium but dissipating off-white head. Aroma is sweetish caramel malts, enough chocolate malt to give a nice deep red color and toasty aroma, definitely some oak, and not a lot else. The flavor is nice and oaky, lightly sweet, toasted malts, and really not much else. The mouthfeel is surprisingly full, the carbonation is medium but soft. The finish is short, balanced, and just a slight hint of bitterness. I enjoyed this one, actually.
2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Discgolfin (36) - - MAY 13, 2012
Rich malt aroma, hint of grassy floral hop aroma, some caramel richness..white tight head with good lacing that lasts. Flavor is off....had an astringent malty finish with as hop bite...mouthfeel is medium with an astringent bite.
3.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 drdisque (377) - Illinois, USA - MAY 11, 2012
From a bottle. Aroma is spicy and moderate. Flavor is fruity, sppicy, and just a little bitter. Can’t believe they were able to pack this much punch and complexity into a 4.2 abv session ale. A commendable job.

For being a session beer, this is one of the best I’ve had so far. Full of flavor and hop characteristics!

12oz bottle, best by 6/10/12. Thin off-white head. Clear light brown / amber color. Some lace. Nice crisp carbonation, good dry texture. Very drinkable indeed. Nice, balanced malty and hoppy aroma, with a decent lightly oaky herbal malty-hop aftertaste. Nice mild bitter taste. It’s hard to find a good session ale, but I’m a fan of this one. Very satisfying and refreshing.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Scipio (488) - Palatine, Illinois, USA - APR 12, 2012
Pours a clear amber with a rapidly diminishing white head. Aroma is decent and is bready and nutty. Taste contains caramel and bread, with some nutty and grain undertones. Nothing is very overpowering. Rather all flavors are subtle. Aftertaste is a bit earthy. Very well balanced, white palate is a bit thinner. But very easy to drink. This isn’t your summer beer that you can drink all day. Rather, this is probably your autumn beer that you can drink all day.

Pours a clear light copper; not much head; very drinkable with grainy flavor, little sweetness and a Crisp finish. Surprised how much I liked it.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 vmilaxer29 (360) - New York, USA - MAR 3, 2012
Pours a clear copper with a small white head. The aroma is weak, with light bread notes, some floral hops, and a vegetal woodiness. Light on flavor, with cereal, what seems like Saaz hops, and light, fresh wood. Crisp finish, some bitterness. Not bad, very mild indeed.

Bottle, pours clean auburn w/ pillowy peaty head, juicy cereal aroma, nutty malt w/ a lightly tang, light-to medium-bodied, nice and easy-drinking
