COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An incredibly drinkable ale, light in body but full of flavor. Oaky notes blend with the complex balance of malt and hops. This is a beer you can enjoy for the long haul.

Draft. Poured a clear dark orange color with a tan head. Soft caramel aroma with a whiff of citrus. Light to medium bodied and slightly sweet with understated toffee, graham cracker, pine, and citrus flavors.

bottle shared by murphym45 - brown pour. Aroma is malty with woody oak. Caramel and bready malts, caramel. Again, more woodiness but not overpowering. smooth bodied but body is not too heavy. Finishes with light hops. Decent.

Bottle. Poured clear brown color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate complex balanced aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Soft drinkable beer.

Pours orange amber with notes of caramel malts. The body shows off in a medium style and you get the larger sense of the caramel and bready from the malt. I get a nice light hit of hops oin the ending. for an easy beer, this is pretty spot on.

Thanks to Ryan for giving me a few bottles of this. Served in a Surly pint glass. Pours a moderately-dark copper color with a single-finger off-white head. A bit of spotty lacing and a nice cap and collar as it goes down. The nose brings some slightly-caramelized malt along with a touch of fruit and some toffee. The taste is mildly bitter and somewhat sweet, mostly focusing on bready malt with a bit of caramel. Medium body with lower levels of carbonation. Pretty nice all around. I’d certainly pick this up again. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 01-26-2011

12oz bottle. Rating #62. Dark copper with a light haze and a thin white head. Light sweetness with a bit of wet cardboard as well. Tastes a little past it’s prime, a little off, just a little strange. (1536)

I had this on tap at the brewpub as part of the tour as recommended highly by the tour guide...A light copper color with some ok retention...The aroma is super weird, malty caramel with spices, french fries, only a slight bit of oak...Taste is mostly malt a little oak, just boring. I’m senxing a trend here in their beers, light oak, not where would should be and boring.
