An incredibly drinkable ale, light in body but full of flavor. Oaky notes blend with the complex balance of malt and hops. This is a beer you can enjoy for the long haul.

Mild ales have a hill to climb in the face of their hoppier cousins. While their bombastic counterparts blow minds, mild ales must be content to justify a calm smile and languid mood. I enjoy a good mild, and this one does just fine. An almost bittersweet honey taste with a slightly creamy palate serve this brew well. I would love to try it on cask, as I had to let it warm up a bit for the complexity to shine. Two Brothers makes one of my favorite pale ales (Bitter End), and this mild is a perfectly fine example of the style.

Light copper color. Taller, somewhat fluffy off-white head. Very malty aroma, in the way of a malthouse, or the smell of the brewery in the crushing and mashing area. Light sweet start with a bit of oak and wild honey joining in. Fairly thin in feel. A light amber with a little twist. 5/10

Bottle. Pours a copper color with white head. Oak, malty, wood aromas. Mild malty flavor but it is mostly oak in the flavor. Interesting.

Very nice drinkable beer. Pours a light amber with a thin white head. The aroma has fresh grass and citrus and a little pine. The flavor was the sweet malt up front and then the hops come in. Light and very refreshing.

a little fruitiness in the nose, brown malt aroma. Beautiful clear light brown color, no head. Soft roumd brown malt flavor. Bitterness poke in towards the finish.

The Diamond, Brooklyn tap ($6): Pours amber with an off-white head. Aroma is like an amber ale with slight oak barrel notes. Taste is much the same. The low alcohol is not evident as this tastes like a much more substantial ale. I don’t know if I would want to session this, but it is good nonetheless.

Bottle. 8/13/13. Pours an amber color with a thin white head. Aroma is bread, yeast, grass, some light funkiness, come citrus, roast malt, oak. Taste is similar; bread, yeast, some farmyard, roast malt, oak, a little watery; finish is lingering bitterness. Some very thin lacing. Medium-light bodied; a little chewy. Medium carbonation. Better than I expected; but not fantastic. Tastes stronger than the 4.2% abv.

Draught at Local 127. Low carbonated pour. Malty caramel taste and body. ESB in flavor with that subtle fruit finish. Ok.

Relaly only good when you start getting through the bottle. It starts pretty hoppy but also rubbery, the rubber goes away and turns into slight sweetness, bread, and oak.

12 oz. bottle pours a dark amber color with two-finger white head and lots of lacing. Aroma is of oak, grains, and caramel malts. Quite flavorful for a mild ale. Taste is initially on the sweet side with a short but bitter finish. Body is light but not watery with slight carbonation. A very easily drinkable beer with enough flavor and balance to keep this from being boring.
