Aroma of earthy sweet hops, some char, and noticeable alcohol. Roasty, charry flavor with notes of sweet, burnt marshmallows and substantial bitterness. Medium full body. Not bad, but nothing special. egajdzis (3621), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 26, 2006 Poured a dark mahogany color with a small, tan head that left no lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast, toffee malts, nuts, and smoke. Taste of chocolate, roasted malt, lots of smoke, and some dried fruits. Overall slightly thin for an Imperial. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jan 25, 2006 Pours dark brown - very dark, does not let light through. Foamy brown head. A little light on the aroma, some malt and roasted notes. Nice flavor - but not a true Imperial. Tastes mroe like a Dry Stout. Some nice chocolate notes and a long smooth finish. Usually looking for more of a reach up and grab you factor with an Imperial. A very drinkable stout in general, but not a great Imperial. Kinz (2201), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 24, 2006 Very dark, nice blackish stout, good tan head. Pretty stuff. Chocolate aroma, on the milky side as opposed to bitter. Flavor matched. Hops provided bitterness, but didn’t leap out, chocolate was the predominant flavor. Nice, drinkable stout. Alcohol showed a bit. Thanks TAR! ukoolaid (572), Amherst, Massachusetts, USA

Aroma is roast coffee malts and a bit of vanilla. Taste is roast, chocolate, espresso, and strong hops. This is nothing that makes me say "WOW", but is certainly very drinkable and is a great representation of the style without kicking your ass. ElBorracho (472), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 22, 2006 22 oz bomber. Pours dark brown with a thin head. Aromas of smoked wood, coffee and chocolate lead the way to the taste. Unfortunatly I found the taste to be dominated by smoke which took away from the other less pronounced flavors. It was still alright but there are others out there that are much better. steve23mj (273), Essexville, Michigan, USA
