barleyPops (1079), Quad-Cities, Illinois, USA Aug 6, 2005 12 oz. bottle. inky black with a quickly fading tan head. aroma of coffee and hints of dark fruit. flavor is entirely coffee but there is no bitterness at all! a light to medium mouthfeel which is a small deduction for an Imperial Stout. a decent stout but there are so many more to try!!! beeryum (652), Norcross, Georgia, USA Jul 26, 2005 Bottle. Dark brown and slightly clearish pour. Thin roasty aroma, maybe some coffee. Roasty sweet malt flavors/ Somewaht creamy, bit fairly thin imo. goldtwins (4079), Nesconset, New York, USA Jul 25, 2005 Poured dark brown with a thin tan head. Roasted malt aroma with notes of coffee and sugar. Flavor continues with the roasted malt but thin on the flavor and body. RateandPillage (417), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Jul 24, 2005 Pours dark brown with little to no beige head. Slight amount of toffee and molasses in aroma. Little bit of roasted malt in flavor, but I also got a weird slight cabbage-like flavor. Very thin on the palate for an IS. Odeed (1666), Bakersfield, California, USA Jul 20, 2005 another bonus brew from richlikebeer.(this man sent me many)pours a stoutie black with a huge brown head.in fact, the head took of most of the snifter glass.it finally calmed down and i gave it a whirl and a sniff.i couldnt really pick up alt in the aroma.maybe some cherries, and a bit of malt.much of the same in the flavor with a little bit of cardboard and seltzer water.i dunno.strange is all i can say. apoptosis (1316), Long Island, New York, USA Jul 13, 2005 Barely a head over an opaque body - black. The aroma is very mild and doesn’t have a particular distinction. The flavor is also very mild, and mostly roasty and a hint of yeast. Not as rich or thick as I tend to look for in a imperial stout. notalush (2628), Denver, Colorado, USA Jul 9, 2005 Nearly completely opaque with a medium-sized, dark tan lace - aroma of dark roast coffee - full mouthfeel - quite dry and not sweet at all (quite a nice change from some of the other clowing imperial stouts out there) - perfectly bitter and roasty - very full for an imperial of such a low ABV - pretty impressive, but not great. Styles (1653), Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA Jul 7, 2005 Dark black with beige head, that fades quickly. Aroma and flavor are all coffee. Not bitter, black coffee, but coffee nonetheless. Sorry, once again I don’t like coffee.
