3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught. Opaque dark brown with small foamy beige head, light mocha aroma, medium carbonation, full body, mocha taste, medium finish with sour coffee aftertaste. Good stout, but the coffee beans sour aftertaste degrades the brew.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at Tall Paul’s (FL).
Pours essentially black with a lght tan head that has good retentino and leaves some lacing on the glass.
The smell is a bit sweet, there’s roasted malt, chocolate, and a hint of caramel and toffee.
Taste: Dark roasted grains. A touch of sour and only a faint bit of dark fruit. Coffee, smoke and dark chocolate in the finish.
Feel: reasonablt smooth; medium-full body.
Overall: a poor example of the style although the high ABV is well hidden.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours black with a dark tan head. Aroma is strong, coffee hinted. Taste is bitter black coffee with roasted barley. This is not a good beer. A bitter backend follows and lingers too long. If you like cold coffee then maybe you’d like this one.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Antioch Fine Wine. Pours very dark brown with a bit of a beige head. Aroma has roasted malts, light smoke, some licorice and some molasses.Taste is of sweet caramel, licorice, smokey malts and a bit of coffee. Medium bodied, a bit thin for an imperial stout, with some alcohol presence. Finishes somewhat short, and sweetly malty. Shrug? Two Brothers is not a top 5 brewery in CHI, and this is a perfect example. 13.2

4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bold and rich, with a unexpectedly sweet finish that doesn't end. Easily the smoothest 9.1 ABV that I've ever tasted.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a deep brownish black from the bottle with thin ring of bubbly tan head that leaves light lace. Aroma of big roasted malts and soy earth. Taste follows, sweet on top of the earth and roast. Meh, not bad, booze well hidden but nothing special.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JAN 31, 2015 A touch under-stated for an imperial stout in 2015, this would have been right at home in 1995. Caramel nose hints at roast, flavor sweet and roasty wth a full caramel presence, sweet full bodied finish, lingering thoughts of coffee. A very simple and straightforward strong stout. You want huge and complex, look elsewhere.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Average imperial stout. Two brothers is average at best. Malty and slightly chocolatey start. Bitter and malty finish. Slightly chocolately. Had at home.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours very dark with a thin chocolate head. Moderate roast. Light hops. Drinkable, but not my favorite imperial stout.
