Big chili chocolate nose. Taste had more chocolate and some coffee. Chili was really light compared to nose. Nice and smooth with some alcohol burn

Black color with a tan head, dark but thin. Slick moth feel. Slight tan head, purchased in bomber at Roundhouse. Mild musty aroma, definite Cru front note and chocolate finish. Not really any spice to speak of, which makes it very drinkable. More of a chocolate stout than a spiced stout.

Decent stuff. Mild pepper, more drinkable than most pepper stouts. Balanced by some chocolate and sweetness.

Pours black with a big, tan head that dissipates slowly into a cap. Had aromas of chili peppers and milk chocolate. Nice spicy kick going down, but not over the top. Milk chocolate aftertaste, bit of sweetness up front. Medium bodied, leaning towards lighter. This was a good stout.

22oz bottle 4/17/12 (Binny’s Naperville) R.I.P Frisco-40° in English Pint-Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of spices, malt, and chocolate. Taste of the same with it getting a bit spicier on the back end. This medium bodied brew is well balanced and quite tasty. Perfect for a man’s best friend.

Pours deep dark brown with healthy khaki head. Nose is cocoa and chocolate, with something different... Not quite chili but I can’t place it... Not sweet, not bitter. Not sure... Flavor has some green chili flesh with plenty of chocolate. And more chocolate... Now more pepper flesh. Not quite spicy though. Not a bad one, medium body. Drinkable.

Deuce to oversized snifter (shared with the Mrs.). Looks good for the style; black with beige head that dissipates into lacing fairly quickly. Smells and tastes solid; chocolate, dark malt, and spice with a bit of roast. Nice and balanced on the palate. A pleasant, well-balanced take on the style.

Dark brown pour with a nicely persistent tan head. Nose is cocoa and spice. Flavor is roasty cocoa, but not a hint of the chili mentioned.
