OH BROTHER! is one of a series of special limited-run beers in styles that are more extreme or unusual. <P>This crisp, straw-colored ale is blessed with a host of spicy and fruity aromas. We brew it from pilsener malt, candy sugar and some very non-traditional hop choices. But hey, we never said we were monks. We’re just brothers.

22 oz bomber. Pours a hazy hay color (like an unfiltered wheat) with sediment and little head or lacing. Aromas of fruits, yeast, and a little alcohol. Flavors of banana and sweat bread, with a balancing of citusy and spicy hop notes. med to full bodied, soft carb, dry texture and feel. A different and fun beer that I am glad I tried.

Pours very orange, hazy, with minimal head. Banana bread aroma. Nice balanced flavor, predominantly citrus, some spice notes. Very clean aftertaste, for better or worse. Very smooth, very drinkable. Refreshing.

Nose is lemon and sour, soft malt and mild undertones of spice. Pours a deep gold with a white head that dissipated quickly, hazy. Opens with more lemon and acetic acid. Middle is full of malt and barely any spice. Some interesting notes of honey and sweet orange. Finish is fruity with apple orange and lemon. Body is medium with medium carbonation. Super dry. This is enjoyable but it tastes out of balance with too many strong malt and fruit characters and not enough spice.

A golden color with a quick fizzy head. A promising aroma of bananas leads to a citrus/peach flavor. Unfortunately it was sooooo sour that it burned my stomach. If I was going to have a triple (which I do alot), this would not be my top pick.

22oz. Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a thin ring of head. Very clean taste and aroma, deceptively easy drinking for such a hefty beer. Well balanced for an American triple.
